Quality of the Walnut carving boards is trash. My wife had purchased a cutting board from NH Bowl and Board as a gift for her uncle several years ago and we decided to buy our own in 2024.

Received the cutting board on 2/23/2024 and as of 1/29/2025 we already have edge splitting/delamination in multiple locations on the cutting board. The quality of work this company is putting out is in serious decline.

We have maintained the board well, washed and dried after use and oiled whenever appearing dry. Did not expect to see such poor durability from a $169 cutting board. Save your money and buy from another quality woodworker instead.

Edit: to follow up from owner's comment, we had quality concerns and asked to return the board when we originally received it. When we mentioned the "guarantee" listed on the website on a phone call, the owner (we assume) made a sarcastic comment about not being an attorney. He begrudgingly agreed to accept it back, but we were so put off by that exchange we didn't even want to deal with him any further and decided to just keep the board. Ordered a salad bowl and some utensils through their website, after reviewing the options and watching the (very helpful!) buying guide video. As it turned out, I ended up needing to work out alternate, expedited shipping arrangements to get the product to me by a particular date. Paul was extremely accommodating to my circumstances and responded very quickly to my emails, going so far as to provide a cell phone number that I could reach him at, should I need to. He even refunded me the original shipping fee (without my asking) after we'd switched to an express option. We ordered a custom bowl from New Hampshire bowling board back on May 11, 2022. They immediately took our $200, but they never delivered the bowl. We called them in early June to check on the order and they said it was lost, but that they now have found it and that they would be delivering it soon. We just called back again today and they haven’t even started on the bowl much less delivered it. I’m sure these folks are good craftsman but they are so disorganized that you just can’t be sure if you’re going to ever get a product. We had them refund all of our money and that’s the end of that.
