Brady's Oysters — Local services in Hoquiam

Okay, we go here first time. We're excited about to trying fresh oysters. We told the tall young man "how are you doing? We're here for the first time. What's good, small oysters, big oysters or medium ones, any difference flavors".... yes lots of questions. So I ask for two dozens medium ones, on second thought since medium are large oyster are similar prices, can you mix, some small (I meant the medium ones) and some larger oysters? We got home, my kids (13 and half years old) counted the oysters, she was excited to trying fresh oysters, then I heard "Dad, we got 23 oysters!". I said "What, count again, it can't be." She counted them again. I did too. We got 23. Two dozens suppose to be 24. The other thing, I really need to use my words more carefully. There were mostly, I say medium size oysters in display. I used the words some small and medium and large mix. But look at the picture, the small ones really, 3 can fit on my palm. I know, a couple dollars each for one missing oyster, it's not the money but the business principal about being there for the customer satisfaction. I guess the young man just miscounted. We’ve been to Brady’s for oysters, and they were always good. This time, I saw they had wild caught shrimp, so we picked up a pound. What a mistake! $22 for a bag of shrimp that smelled and tasted like bleach. We didn’t think to smell them in the shop, as we know Brady’s is a well-known shop, with plenty of good reviews. So basically we may as well taken $22 and thrown it out into the oyster bed! I’m so mad, I can barely even put my thoughts into words. Never again, we have decided we will never patronize this place again, fool me once and all that…

NOTE: While I appreciate the gesture of Brady’s to refund my money, I am not interested. Brady’s soured a romantic getaway, one in which we were really looking forward to. If you can’t trust seafood markets located ON the coast to have quality products, who can you trust?? I mean, I don’t purchase from the local grocery store because I don’t want seafood that tastes like bleach. It’s about integrity, and when you offer food for sale, it should be fresh and edible. Sadly I will no longer be spending my money at Brady's, I came in Friday with my family. My mother-in-law had come into shop with me, I had notice only a few others in the store, so I kept my distance. We were in the process of shopping/looking around when a rude employee proceeded to walk up to me and state there's too many people in the store and we need to step outside. Even though I had already been in the process of shopping, also others had come in after after me. I said well now I'm not going to spend any money. Then this rude employee stated that she was just following the law and I was like no you're not people came in after me ask them to step out. I will never shop here again because of how I was treated. Because of this you missed out on a big purchase, I was ready to drop a couple hundred dollars in the store, don't worry Olympia Pacific Seafood got my money instead.
