Alterations by Seamstress Lena - BY APPOINTMENT ONLY — Local services in Horizon West

I can’t thank Lena enough! I reached out in a bit of a time crunch, needing a last-minute alteration for a bridesmaid dress, and Lena was more than willing to fit me in and make it work. As someone with body image issues, situations like fittings can be quite nerve-wracking, but, from the moment Lena warmly welcomed me in, I felt completely at ease. I could tell that I was in the hands of someone who truly cared.

When I put on my dress, she took one look and gently asked what I wanted changed, because in her honest opinion, it didn’t need any alterations. And she was right! When I booked the appointment, I was judging the dress based off a bra that didn't quite work for it. After I got the right bra, the dress still didn't look quite right. But with the right bra and Lena being the helping hand to fully fasten me in in the back, the dress looked so much better. It genuinely didn’t need any work, and she told me that without hesitation.

She could have easily suggested something unnecessary just to charge me, but instead, she gave me peace of mind, her time, and her expertise. What really meant the world to me was how she treated me—with kindness, honesty, and her full attention—even though she didn't end up being able to make a sale based on alterations. She made what I expected to be a very stressful experience one that had me walking away smiling.

Integrity like Lena's is rare, and it did not go unnoticed. I already told her I’ll be back when it’s time for my own wedding dress alterations—and I absolutely will be! In the meantime, I'll be recommending her to everyone I can. Thank you so much, Lena! Until...

Lena is AWESOME👏🏾. She was fast, courteous, and does the impossible! I am in a wedding that was approaching and had no one to turn to! I google seamstress called a few and Lena was the only one available. She had my dress altered in a week time. It wasn't easy either as she had to reconstruct the back of the dress with little to no fabric as the color would be hard to fine. But Lena did her thing and without taking up to much of my time. Her appointments were not lengthy at all. She kept all of her appointments and was prompt. She was also flexible with her appointments. I am definitely going to use her for any and alllllllllllll alterations now, and in the future. I didn't mention earlier that her price was also AWESOME, because her professionalism and promptness meant more to me. THANK YOU SO MUCH...

Lena is absolutely the best. Not only is she a master at her skill, but she is kind and welcoming and makes you feel heard. Lena has done amazing work for our family before, but this time, she completely outdid herself. After buying three sizes in a beautiful Mac Duggal gown, I knew the dress was not made for my body; however, I loved the dress so much and asked Lena if she could take a look and work her magic. Magic she did! She delicately handled this dress, putting so much love and care into making my dress even more beautiful.
