We enjoyed Mike's company and humor as he told stories while making delicious drinks with one of the most delicious rums I've ever had. I am not typically a rum drinker but this is like a cross between rum and vodka! A real sipper! Its filtered till clear and literally can be drank on ice - no mixers needed. The tasting room is quaint and often we end up meeting new people and leaving as friends. This is now one of our "must dos" when we come through Texas hill country.

There are few places that I have ever been with the combination of amazing drinks and friendly ownership that would come close to to matching this place. It has to be one of the best rums that I have ever had. Be sure and ask Mike for a tour and do your own bottling. It is not fancy, but it is comfortable, reasonably priced and relaxing.

Highly recommend stopping here! You are probably thinking..."No thanks, I dont do Rum" This is NOT your ordinary rum! Mike puts a lot of attention to his craft, and it shows in his products. TRUST ME you will not be disappointed! If you don't like it, at least you will get to enjoy great conversations with Mike and Stacie!

OKAY so my wife and I were out on our weekly outing/ Date and while driving around came upon Round Mountain Distilling. So we did not know anything about run so we thought this might be treat and a way to learn a little about rum. I can tell you we left there with so much more than just a little time spent learning. My wife and I have a combined 58 years of military service and obviously lots of travel. Have been to many countries and many states and we will tell you this was AWESOME, the balance of drinks (exceptional RUM), fellowship, and storytelling was phenomenal. We were greeted by Stacie and immediately felt as if we were welcomed into a friend’s home, she started telling us their story and shortly after getting some beverages took us down to meet Mike. Mike just as his lovely wife is awesome. He educated us, told us their story and showed us around his shop. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we had a great experience, the little touches where the bottle was personalized by Mike with our names, to Stacie personalizing even the bag she put the bottles in just goes to show that this is a passion and true enjoyment for them and not just a job or business they truly appreciate anyone that walks in the door. Can’t wait till we can get back out to see you guys again…… Muchisimas Gracias de un Español a Otro gracias por todo. ...

Wow!! Mike is one of the most relaxed and down to earth people I’ve met! We were the only customers on a Tuesday afternoon and he gave us a full education of the rum making/ distilling process. He told us how the company was founded. The ups and down they’ve been thru and even gave us a tour of the distillery and the barrels!!! Vip experience and a one of a kind education on rum making. My wife and I will be sure to make this place a recurring summer trip. Looking forward to seeing our photo...

My wife and I searched “distillery” on Google and we found this lovely gem. We are not rum drinkers but this place changed our views of the spirit. My wife had a spicy Moscow mule and I had the lakeside lemonade, both were phenomenal. The owner Mike provided a great history of the place and was incredibly welcoming - if you are in the area, I strongly recommend stopping in. My only complaint is that I wish it were closer to where we lived; that said, it’s worth the drive and we...
