We came to glide as a family this July from Indiana. We got a nice slice of the paragliding lifestyle at Horseshoe Bend and rolled with that like champs. One at a time they took us up, told us what to expect and do and then glided. Each of our four trips was different, which I guess is always the case based on air. Came to learn how to fly and stayed for the people. Old, young, new, experienced, local, out of town, speed flyer, paraglider, none of it matters. When at HSB Flight Park you are part of the flock. Everyone that shows up is welcomed with a warm smile and friendly hello. Scott taught me how to fly and did a Tandem for my daughter. HOLY COW! Scott made sure I felt comfortable and excited despite my lack of experience and nerves. While flying, he explained how everything worked, pointed out when we caught different lifts, and even let me steer the wing. We did some whoopdies which I highly recommend! Afterwards I got to hangout with the other instructors/trainees while my boyfriend took his tandem flight and learned so much about paragliding. Such an incredible time, can not recommend these...
