Cortez Golf Course — Local services in Hot Springs Village

Nice course that feels more natural than most others. It feels like they used the lay of the land and designed golf holes around the natural terrain. Holes don't feel manufactured or man made. Slopes and creeks seem to be natural features of the area. Some tee shots need driven up to examine the landing area to see the layout of the hole before hitting. Several dog leg holes that merit an early exam of where to hit your tee ball. Course isn't long and greens are fairly large and nice bent grass. Played this course 6 months ago before it was aerated and love the layout and especially the back nine layout. Played today but only the back nine. Fairways are in great shape. Greens are good but way too many ballmarks due to the recent drizzles. I cannot understand why a golfer will not fix his own and some other ballmarks. Not only was the lady in the pro shop very nice, but she also put me on the back nine when playing 9 because I had never been there and it was much more scenic.
