Hudson 12 Theatre — Local services in Hudson

Great theater! I used to work here and went back for the first time in a few years. The seats in our theater were nice, big recliners, there was a lot of space between rows (perfect for families with a toddler), the popcorn was yummy (they always put butter in the middle if you ask for butter), and they have a big selection of drinks, candy, and some hot snacks. I know from experience that they work hard to keep the theaters and lobby clean.

I don't know if they have recliners in every theater, but it definitely cuts the number of seats down, so if you're going to a new release or very popular show/showtime, make sure to get there early. You also choose your seats on a computer screen when you buy your tickets now. It's nice to see what's available, but I'm sure it takes forever (because of customers, not staff) to get through the ticket line on a busy night. They show three previews before each movie, so you only have about a 10 minute cushion between the start time and when the feature movie comes on.

The ticket and concession prices were cheaper or comparable to other nearby theatres the last time I checked, but if you're looking for a budget theater, go to Hudson on a $5 Tuesday or head to nearby River Falls for $5 adult tickets all time and crazy cheap concessions. When I entered I asked for a small cup for water and went to go get some vitamin water which I now know is not considered water which was a common mistake on my part but the worker that pointed this out to me yelled at me to pour it out which I did but then told me that I couldn’t get normal water anymore because I lost that trust? Then he proceeded to say that I had to throw the cup out and kept yelling at me infront of my family which was really not necessary especially after I acknowledged my mistake. Because I didn’t want to cause further trouble I de-escalated the conflict by walking away. I’m just disappointed in the customer service and how this employee chose to handle the situation by not only unnecessarily escalating the conflict but also embarrassing me infront of my family. Brought my kids and Fiancée to go see Thor 2, and The Movie was fine. The movie theater made it a great night out For starters, the sweet girl at the front ticket counter. Every business should be so lucky, to give customers the first impression she does. I went outside towards the end of the night, doors locked she was already anticipating me needing back in and was there, and this sweet girl had crutches and the biggest smile on her face. Thank you. The price on Tuesdays is a great deal, $5.50 and a free popcorn 🍿. The concessions moved swiftly on a packed night, and the best part Is the seating. comfortable loungers clean theatre amazing place.
