Dollar General — Local services in Hughes

This is the filthiest store with the rudest employees you will find anywhere. I would not eat ANYTHING sold in this store, as they routinely violate food safety practices with the LONG-PAST expiration dates of numerous things on the shelves. That’s if you can even find the food, navigating though the aisles littered with things knocked off the shelf, unopened boxes, and other trash. If you want some free food, perhaps you’d like to join the dumpster divers that the employees alert when they are throwing food in the dumpster, who then show up in the middle of the night with flashlights to dig through the garbage? That’s if you don’t trip and fall in the parking lot on some of the copious trash that litters the entire site.

If you enjoy music, you’re in luck. Frequently customers will leave their car blasting filthy rap music while they disappear inside to buy whatever they buy. Music so loud the body panels of the car vibrate from the bass. And the store does not care

Maybe you love to hear how horrible the color of your skin is? They can do that too. I made an ill-advised visit to this store a month ago because I was in the area and needed something. While I waited for the customer in front of me to check out (they only have a single employee), she was telling the cashier how horrible white people are, and that she was sick of them. The cashier agreed and said “don’t I know it”. Isn’t it wonderful to hear that you are hated because of the color of your skin? What if the roles were reversed?

I probably would not shop at any dollar general. I have contacted their corporate representatives numerous times, as I used to live within eyesight of this store and it was a constant nuisance. They do not care. They don’t care about their neighbors, their customers, or anything other than selling low quality things at absurd prices.

To the store manager NEIL: I DONT KNOW WHO YOU ARE OR WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE but you being a manager should never speak to a customer the way you did to my sister. The next time you want to tell my sister that she should kill herself for having triplets you should have killed yourself when you let your two-year-old kill your two month old yeah I heard about that story. keep your words from your mouth to yourself. Your district manager needs to make you go through the retraining process of being a correct manager again or you simply need to be fired but don't you ever in your life talk to my sister that way again do you understand. I am here to tell you that you are no better than my sister you are a old person working at Dollar general as a manager and I know you don't make that much money.
