The Bradford Market • Huntersville, NC “Stop in and step back” to a time when life was much simpler and less rushed 🙌🏼 Here you’ll find fresh local organic produce and NC pasture raised meat, dairy and eggs. The Bradford Market focuses on supporting local farms, artisans and small businesses 👏🏼 These are my favorite kinds of places, where you can find one of a kind items and support the local community and economy in doing so. They’re open Thursday-Monday, located at 15915 Davidson Concord Rd, Huntersville. #rocoinfo #food #huntersvillenc #localmarket #smallbusiness

Fantastic! My wife and I have been shopping at the Bradford Market for about ten years. Frank and Correne and their employees are absolutely wonderful. There are always smiles and pleasant conversations while you're there. In the spring (and all the way through to autumn) there are beautiful flowers all around the property. We go by sometimes just to take pictures and have a walk around, but always stop in the store to say hello and pick up some things. Check them out, you'll be glad you did (you can thank me later).

Though I don't live nearby, I love bringing out of town folks here for gifts...and myself when I need a touch of country. Bradford Market has the kindest staff, best grounds, and delightful events. It's my go-to spot for local goods to bring as hostess gifts when I travel. Plus, they've special-ordered Goat Lady Dairy truffles for me once or twice...so of course they have a fan for life!

I absolutely love the Bradford Market! It's really one of a kind and the absolute best. I like to pick up my local organic produce, meats, eggs and milk here every week, but there's so much more here too. They offer fresh seasonal produce but they also carry unique foods that you can't find anywhere else, like interesting varieties of fruit and veg that aren't available at the grocery store, marrow bones, and duck eggs to name a few. They also stock lots of pantry staples and have a great selection of gluten free items.

The Bradford Market carries pieces made by local artisans too, so there are lots of one of a kind finds for gifts and the home. There are lots of interesting sustainable options here for almost any consumables you'd have in your home, from toothpaste to toilet paper.

They offer a nice selection of plants for your garden and supplies to help them thrive. Whether you're looking for vegetables, flowers, herbs, or native shrubs and trees, they have it all. During the holiday season, they even sell Christmas trees!

Did I mention there's a book store here too?

Their property is wide and spacious and I love to bring my kid along and let him roam outside. They frequently hold seasonal events and classes here as well.

Lastly, their customer service is second to none. The owner, Correne, is always happy to greet us and have a nice chat. She has given great product recommendations and is very knowledgeable about where the items come from and how to care for our plants. Many times, the employees have helped me out to my car when my hands were full and they're just so friendly. I always look forward to my trip to the Bradford Market and seeing Sam and Arthur (the market dogs) and all the other folks.

Oh and one more tip, make sure you sign up for their weekly newsletter to see what all is in the store each week and to stay in the know about their...

I have a passion for supporting local/small businesses especially women and families in business. I make it a point to visit these kinds of businesses in the community. The Bradford Store was one of those businesses I would frequent - but after the experience I had during my visit yesterday I will NEVER return. While at the checkout counter as the cashiers as ringing up my items, I noticed a few items on display and picked them up for a closer look then I heard someone yell, “Ma’am, ma’am, are you going to purchase that?!?” Shocked and startled I looked around to see what the commotion was and it was the OWNER of the Bradford store talking to me. I was completely shocked, not only to be talked to like that but the fact that I was a customer in process of purchasing items from them and then to be yelled at for touching a product. I told the owner that I indeed intended on buying the product, but after being treated horribly I changed my mind. So collected my already purchased items and left. The owner apologized soon after but the damage was done and her actions were completely uncalled for and out of line. Also, I can’t help but feel she reacted the way she did because of the color of my skin. It’s extremely disappointing because before yesterday this business was one of my local favorites. The owner needs to do better and treat EVERY customer with respect and care because that’s the community...

Sadly, this place has gone downhill since it changed owners. We went not long after the change and noticed the chickens were gone, my kids wanted to see if they were coming back or if it was a permanent change, and upon my asking the owner about them, she said no, and seemed anoyed that we asked about them. I bought some herb starts in the spring, and not long after I had them in my indoor pots, I discovered they were infested with aphids and fruit flies. Only one plant ended up surviving, and we had fruit flies for MONTHS after that. (I'd purchased starts from there many times before and never had any issues at all previously). I used to enjoy bringing my kids there to shop and enjoy the gardens, but recently, when we went, we were following around by two small dogs barking at us VERY loudly. I had trouble even hearing my kids talking to me, and nobody around had the thought to take them out or even try to get them to stop. I don't think I'll be going back unless there is something specific I really need that only they have, which is doubtful. It's just not the enjoyable experience...
