Walmart Distribution Center — Local services in Hurricane

This place does more drop and hook then live loads. I was first truck in gate for a 05:00 appointment got there around 03:30 took about 30 mins to check in at guardshack he sent me to a door told me to drop trailer and check in at office. I got checked in parked and waited for there call meanwhile 5 other trucks come and go over 5 hours that I sit there. I go in to see what's the hold up they said that they have to count the product. That's fine but if it take that long u need a new method so they get angry with me and tell me just take your trailer and go. They said that they would email me a signed copy of the bill. I say I want a signed copy before I leave they said that's not how they work . So I leave cause I had another load to pick up I did get a email later that day so if I would have sat there I would have been there allday. Not so friendly staff very slow workers at this place they focus more on drop trailer that nobody is picking up today than the live loads or unloads. There is overnight parking on side of roads...

Once again, there are a bunch of negative reviews from the Karen/Kyle truckers out there. Had a 0500 appointment, and I arrived at 0445. Sweet girl at the front gate had me checked in right away with a door waiting for me. Dropped the trailer at the door and bobtailed over to Traffic Control to drop the paperwork. Received a text and then a phone call at 0550 to retrieve my paperwork and pick up my trailer. Was out of the gate by 0610. Treat them with respect, and you will get it in return.

Side note: Be very careful driving around their yard. Employees in their personal vehicles are doing every bit of 40mph around blind corners. Walmart drivers with tractor trailers are doing at least 30mph around the yard with no hazards or headlights on. The posted speed limit is 10 mph. Stick to this, keep your eyes peeled, and you...

First off Everyone was Very nice and very pleasant. With that said They are not fast to unload and they don’t Honor the Appts. I had a 0500 appt arrived a little early and checked in at guard shack just to be told they had NO appointments that day. When I asked him to check in the sysytem to see if they show my appointment he did and Found that I Did have an appointment but that they were not honoring it for ‘Reasons”. I had to reschedule for the Next morning. After waiting over 24 hour I finally was able to deliver and it took the 7+ hours to unload. Look Everyone was beyond Nice and apologetic But if you deliver here and it’s a live unload Expect to be here for a whole day. On the plus side they had Like a miles worth of roadside parking and a small Truckstop that never filled up but...
