Idaho Falls Airport Review The Idaho Falls Airport is small, but that’s part of its charm. It’s consistently clean, easy to navigate, and offers a surprisingly great selection of snacks, coffee, and quick meals at their shop. The Snake River Restaurant inside the terminal is a standout, with some genuinely delicious options to choose from before or after your flight. The staff throughout the airport are always friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience feel more personal and stress-free. Parking is very affordable, and the 30-minute short-term parking option is a major plus, especially when flights are delayed and your ride is waiting. If I had to call out one downside from over a decade of flying in and out of this airport, it would be the wait time for checked luggage. Once deplaned, it typically takes around 20 minutes for bags to begin arriving at the carousel, which feels a bit slow for such a small airport. Overall, it’s a solid regional airport that’s only getting better. The convenience, customer service, and clean facilities make it a great option for travel in and out of eastern Idaho.

The Idaho Falls Airport is a nice place to travel to or from. I think I prefer leaving from a smaller airport like this one more than big airports. You never have to wait very long to get through security. I have never seen a line longer than 3 people here. I love that when you drive up to the front door, you check your bags, walk through security, and around 1 corner, you are at your gate. Everything is within 100 yards, and that is probably pushing it. I have only flown here in the summer; maybe it’s different in the winter, so I can’t speak to that. The lady at the baggage counter was very nice too.

The airport is nice, it is small. The TSA seems to have problems with cameras and lenses. I was coming back 2 years ago and had 2 cameras in my backpack. A Canon 80D and a 1D mkIV. They felt the need to hand search my backpack and took out the 1D and "sniffed" it for possibly being a bomb. :( I would think for an airport being close to the wild as they are there would be photographers going through there quite a bit and they would know what a camera is). I don't like others handling my cameras because others AREN'T as careful with MY equipment as I am!! This last weekend I was coming back again, my 80D with lens attached and and extra SP45mm lens in my backpack and they flag my backpack again. They have me take out my camera and lens to scan seperate. I guess the TSA either is so bored, or they are not sure what a camera and lens looks like through the xray. If it is separate or still in the bag it should view about the same through the xray. I flew up from LAX, and THEY don't have a problem seeing it is a camera and lens. I have been through LAX to Việt Nam before and then the airport at Hà Nội coming home, and never had problems with them seeing it was a camera and a lens. ONLY at Idaho Falls TSA. I did what TSA suggests, I took EVERYTHING out of my pockets and put them in ziplock baggies in my other carry on. I only had my phone and drivers license and they were in the tray. The human xray showed something (I guess) in my pocked and I had to be hand felt. He said maybe there was too much material gathered together. NO problem coming up on the flight at LAX with that. The airport is nice, it is small, but it is easy to get in and easy to board/deplane, but for some reason, the TSA each time I've been through there they can't...

Delta 6/8/25: What a terrible experience. Get to check-in 57 minutes before the flight. I waited in line and was refused to check my bags because the Delta lady with a terrible attitude refused to do so. I took pictures to corroborate time stamps at the gate- Thankfully I did, so Delta can see this despicable behavior of an employee. I have never heard of this 50 minutes BS. Most international airports are even 30-45 mins depending on domestic or international. The lady basically bragged she left people earlier in the morning for the same reason. She threatened to keep escalating the argument. She lied about the “system being shut down and out of her control.” Anyone that flies a lot knows that is just a flat out lie. Delta indeed heard about it and is paying for it all. What a joke. That woman is going to cost Delta a lot of money with her disgusting attitude, you work at an airport with an entry level position lady- act accordingly. People, fly out of PIH if you can. They will accommodate you like the small airport hospitality it is supposed to be. People only use these small airports for the convenience. Take some notes, I am sure I’m not the only one going through this garbage. Good thing Delta makes it right to their most loyal customers and I commend...

I was pleasantly surprised on how efficient such a Small airport ran, and The cleanliness of the airport. I was told they had done a remodel and even though I thought the place lacking in culture it was nice. My experience turned for the worse, when I visited the concessions Tailwind. I thought I would grab a drink and maybe something to eat. So I grabbed a bottle of water and went to checkout. I stood there for a moment when a young girl and an old bald guy with a beard came from the back the older gentlemen seemed to be in charge, they were laughing I was a little caught off guard from catching The end of their conversation. It just seemed inappropriate for a work place and considering the guy had a ring on his finger. The young girl seemed irritated that she had to stop to help me with my transaction. I order one of there breakfast items and waited by the little condiment counter for my food. This is when I saw the older bearded bald gentleman pass the young girl and press his pelvic area into her. me staring in disbelief.I What the hell? He walked by me smiling. Sorry but I found it to be very inappropriate and feel I should report what I witnessed, if anyones know who I can report it...
