Me and my husband visited with another couple and had an overall nice time.

You DO need a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. The road is all up hill narrow dirt roads.

It is private for your booked time, which is nice. But you can see folks getting out of their car to wait for their time from the spring. It would be nice if there was a little waiting area so there wasn't an awkward transition, or maybe if times were scheduled with 10 min between. You end up paying for an hour, but only get about 40 min if you change once you get there to give yourself time to get out for the next folks.

Parking is also a little tight, with only 2 spaces. We arrived and both of the spaces were taken for a larger party which meant we had to back out into an awkward opening to allow space for them to leave for us to park. Again, I think adding 10-15 min between guests would make a huge difference.

The sauna barrel was a nice addition, though using it did eat into your time in the hot spring.

Towels are not included and are an additional charge (we ended up bringing our own). The restroom is just a nicer outhouse and was a bit stinky when we arrived. I appreciate that we had a bathroom at all, just wasn't the nicest area to change in.

The spring itself had a stunning view and was at a great temperature. There were not very many places to sit in the spring though, it was mostly standing area. I felt the hour was plenty of time for a hot soak.

We paid approximately $50 per person for an hour and I just don't know if it was worth it. All of this was outlined online before we went, I think I was just expecting with how much we paid, that it would be a little nicer.

Overall we enjoyed our time, I think there are just a couple of improvements that would make the place...

Not sure where these reviews are from or if we just had an awful experience prior to them remodeling, but this was our experience from 4/5/24...

We scooped over 300 bugs out of the water.. I'm sorry, but at $200/hr, you would think they'd use the net and clean some of the bugs out for you.

The water looked dirty (which may have been partially the rocks), but given #1 above it's hard to give them the benefit of doubt.

The sauna is not a sauna.. it's essentially 2 space heaters and some rocks that are not hot. Also, there are nails coming up on the benches.

The people were NOT friendly. We got a quick introduction and then a "wait until 2:00 p.m. at your time" (the other couple is down there changing) and not another word said... I understand it's private and you want to overlap to make more money but overall it just didn't feel friendly or welcoming at all.

The changing room is a compost toilet with a bench.

The steps to walk down were super muddy and slippery. I get it.. it's nature.. and maybe this is why they're redoing some things. But again, you lose the benefit of the doubt when there's so many things wrong.

What we did like was the view and the peaceful sound of the wind whipping through the trees, but given everything else, we felt tricked. We left early. Judging by the couples look on their faces when we arrived, they ALSO felt tricked.

We should've checked Trip Advisor reviews before...

I’m going to start by saying we did not make it to the Spring itself and cannot review the physical location. The hosts however are exceptionally generous, understanding and communicative.

We originally scheduled a soak on Valentines and due to unforeseen circumstances were not able to make it. When we text to advise of this and without even asking, Alex offered to extend their hours on another day during our stay so we wouldn’t miss out.

The day of our soak came and unfortunately after a long day in the mountains my partner began having symptoms of altitude sickness. We decided with 900+ ft of elevation to go and a 1.5hr drive back to the hotel, it wasn’t a good idea to continue and risk the symptoms worsening. After working with us more than they had to, they offered to credit our visit for a later date when we visit again. Although we are incredibly bummed we missed out on a special experience, the generosity and kindness from the hosts was above and beyond leaving us with hope for getting to enjoy this experience...

We booked 1 day in advance and sent a text requesting a shuttle since we didn't have a AWD/4WD. The day of, we called and sent a text, and never received a response. We tried driving up but ended up having to hike up. 20 minutes after the appointment, we received a call and we let them know we were hiking but had tried contacting them. At this point, we were a 2 minute drive from the hot springs, the receptionist said she would send the shuttle, the owner arrived 10 minutes later in a unclean truck (clothes, blankets, trash in the backseat). Once we got to the hot springs, we got 15 minutes extra from our end time - which gave us a total of 35 minutes for the experience. The views are amazing BUT it's not a real hot springs. This is a heated pool, that is also not cleaned (bugs everywhere). I do feel like it's false advertising and customer service is not up to par for what they are charging. The owner was nice but seemed all over the place. This was our experience but yours may be different.

We got lucky and caught a last minute cancellation. This place is gorgeous! The hosts of this off-grid hot springs, Alex and Alyssa, were super welcoming and gave us privacy to enjoy this private hot spring for an hour. This is exactly what we were looking for when we thought of ā€œhot springsā€! Yes. You need 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive. We had a Chevy Trailblazer that made it up the rocks and pebbles just fine. The pass up the mountain is mostly one way. If you go here, try to arrive a little early! Give yourself time to conquer the path up and so you don’t miss out on any time soaking up the view! Don’t forget to bring a jacket and a towel! (Jacket because it’s windy up there!) They do offer towels to rent though. The outhouse was extremely clean, the sauna was nice n toasty, and it rained while we were in the hot spring pool, but it was perfect because it made the water extra steamy! And then the sun came out again. I’d give this place 6 stars if I could! Definitely going back!

Made reservations weeks in advance to experience this hot spring with my bff in a quiet and private setting for much needed relaxation. After reading some reviews I became skeptical if a) the weather wb bad b) the hike wb treacherous for us older gals C) our and vehicle wouldn’t make it up the narrow, rough road. Alex assured me everything wb fine so we put on our big girl panties and headed on up. What an epic experience, perfect weather, lil scary but fun road up to, and the nice short path to the serine pool overlooking the Evan mountains. Clean, well thought out, rustic but lovely sauna & out house not to mention the breathtaking views. Actually breathtaking. The couple who own & operate it are super knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. I can’t wait to take some more friends /family back to experience the zen.
