Was stopping in Swan Valley on the way to Grand Teton/Yellowstone. Found this waterfall by chance. It became a big highlight of the trip and is a necessary stop for those who love getting close to waterfall/rock formations. For the best experience find the rope that leads down towards the bottom of the waterfall. Although it takes only a few minutes to get down, do not go down if there is snow/ice, make sure you are fairly fit, be careful on the slippery rocks, and prepare to get wet. I don't recommend going down this if you are under 4 feet tall (so children mostly) as the path going down and up needs a larger leg lunge. Just another 20 or 30 ft up the road you will see a little wood plank crossing the stream. A look out to the falls is about 40 ft down this path. This is truly one of Earth's treasured wanders. You...

Then luckily some locals were there to show us how to get to the bottom to go play. Walk down the road (south) a few car lengths from the view trails (I should have measured it but didn’t) until you see a horizontal tree log. There are two ropes to help you descend. Once at the bottom, follow the soggy path back toward the falls. At one point the water was about hip deep but not swift...
