When you first hear “river time,” it sounds cliché. A few hours into our trip down the Main Salmon River, I got it. The river’s flow, the patient eddy, the roaring rapid, the glassy stretch, the measures of the day.

Our WRO guides, confident, supportive, and enthusiastic share their love of this River through stories, history both ancient and recent, and infectious smiles the delight of floating the river was shared by all. The collective knowledge of our guides made the trip so much richer.

Meals prepared over open fires take some time to unfold, but every time the results were worth the wait - the chance to hear the stories of strangers who have quickly become friends.

The time bound world we live in disappeared for six days. No service no need for a watch. The sun guides the day and our guides intuited our need to slow down.

A trip on the Main Salmon is a restorative thing. I am eager to embrace “river time,” off the river. Thanks Dove, Charlie, Addy, and Isaac – you...

Excellence all the way around. While the Main Salmon is not an inexpensive trip, the value received is very high. At no point did I ever feel I wasn't getting far more than I paid for. The food alone is worth half the cost. Three, three course meals per day. All very well balanced & properly served. The side hikes & area knowledge was very informative, given by those who actually grew up in the area. They also provide much of the gear if one doesn't have their own. I did bring my own, important gear, Paco pad and tent. River knowledge was excellent, Tess, is truly very, very impressive. The woman needs a raise Seth! Her fantastic crew showed her upmost respect. A clear sign of a glimpse behind the scene. Shaun, Bridger & Vince...I look forward to tripping with you...

Reassimilating to life after this river trip has been tough. Seth, Kate, Issac, Sara, Nima, Charlie, and Loki took great care of our little cancer combatant/survivor group!

Besides spoiling us with incredible food and thoughtfully supplying us with all the gear we needed to be comfortable, they created a safe, joyful, empowering experience that revived my soul!

I'd forgotten I was strong. Through calm instruction and cheerful encouragement-they helped me remember!

I'll be back - my husband needs to experience this trip, this river, and the amazing people that own/work for...

This was my third time with WRO and they continue to maintain and exceed my expectations. Not only do they look out for your overall wellness and safety but they make every effort to make your trip memorable and enjoyable. The guides were beyond exceptional and went above and beyond in so many ways. We also had a unique experience of passing an active wildfire, which my safety never felt compromised as this was always top of mind. WRO has set the bar high and has solidified themselves as my outfitter of choice moving forward!
