Ruined a good morning. DO NOT SUPPORT. I bought an inexpensive item as a Christmas gift here. I had supported them for years but today was bizarre. The clerk was horrible, combative, angry and rude from the minute I said, "I have a problem with something I bought." She stared at me with weird unexpected cold contempt and said nothing as she slid an email sign up sheet from over the top of a 4" printed slip of paper taped to the counter in a hidden spot. She tapped on the words , SALES FINAL, NO REFUND, NO EXCHANGES. I told her I was not made aware of the policy, that it was not on my credit card receipt that I signed. She continued to be a real jerk and weirdly scold me? for some reason? saying that, "ha, you should have known better." She didn't even ask what I needed, what the issue was, just escalated to full psycho real quick. I don't care one bit about the monies, I just expect a competent level of service, at least. Geeze, I would have just trashed the junk she sold me and cut my losses if I knew. I write this just as a matter of character and principle, of which this business appears to be devoid entirely. Avoid this place if you value values, dignity and respect. WORST SERVICE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN THESE...
Read moreI stopped here with a friend on a trip from Durango to Pagosa Springs. My friend was really shopping, but I was just looking around rather than staying in the car.
There are several rooms filled with goods here, plus what's on the front porch and in the side yard. Some of the things I saw include dolls, postcards, railroad memorabilia, buttons, tools, military uniforms, pencils, jewelry, landline telephones, rocks, bedframes, table and chairs dining room sets, quilts, tools, art, blankets, 5 gallon glass jars, kitchen tools, butter churns, Fiesta dinnerware, trunks, and books. There's plenty of choice here.
All rooms and items are clean. Things are organized, so you're not going to find railroad memorabilia next to a butter churn.
The lady working greeted us when we walked in, and talked to my friend about his particular interests. She made friendly chitchat with him too.
The prices are for serious shoppers. These are not thrift store prices, but that's probably because these are well curated pieces arranged in a pleasing manner.
If you're really into antiques, this is...
Read moreNice stuff. Very odd people. We came in to shop after already going to a few thrift stores and antique stores that day. The ladies gave us very judging looks. I thought 'whatever they probably just dont get many queer people here'.
As we are looking at stuff they start blasting gospel music. Again, I am thinking ok weird but whatever. Then the old lady was following us around the store staring at us but not being helpful? Like not engaging in conversation or anything. Creepy...
I was looking at some really old tools and considering buying some nice tea sets and I notice the two ladies start agressively humming church hymns at my friend every time he walks by the counter. I am not even joking...
Understandably, he does not purchase anything from the rude and hateful ladies.
I bought a couple of things but I definitely left the more expensive stuff I wanted. On our way out the one lady followed us outside and watched us get in our car and drive away. VERY strange. Like what was she afraid we would find the bodies out back???
Creepy rude ladies. Will NOT shop...
