Pleasant Valley Conservation Area — Local services in Illinois

Really really nice area... Only downside is that they have power lines going through in the middle of it but until we all decide to go full primal with no power I don't think those are going away.

I did some early spring fishing in the main pond by the main parking lot and had a couple nibbles but nothing real. I don't know if there's a stocking program that hasn't taken place yet or what have you.

There's also a creek to the south that technically the trails there are for horsies, but I may have to be a rebel and walk those without stepping in some horse poo to see if there's any fish...

This is a really nice area to hike in that features woods, meadows, and a pond. The wooded section in the eastern part of the park was my favorite due to the rugged trail features and dense forest.
