I purchased a new Honda Civic hatchback in May 17 and this is my first car with a hint of performance (my first car was a glorious 2003 Buick regal) and my friend recommended that I'd try this place out one test and tune night in September of this year.
This was my first time on a drag strip ever and it was awesome. There were tons of super cool cars in their element, you got to see them move and perform. And I got to line up against some big muscle cars with my humble Civic. My very first run was actually against my friend's dad, who was driving a 9800 lbs giant decked out truck. I got a 15.598 my first run and my friend's dad went a little slower because he lost a lot of traction in the launch. By the end of the night his times were pretty close to mine which is cool considering the size of his truck. There were old muscle cars and modern luxury vehicles with slick tires. There were a few motorcycles and a small dragster. Overall it was a very cool experience and I would totally do it again.
There were some problems early in the night involving a fluid leak which soiled a large portion of the track so there were some delays. Despite this I was able to get in many runs and once things got moving again there was little downtime between runs.
I love how this place is in the middle of a farm, really cool and I'm happy I...
Read moreBack there for the first time in five years, it's just as bad as it was then but at least the time boards were working this time. The track prep is terrible, very slow at cleanups, if youre running a street tire they use a cone to keep you out of the groove. Burnout area is way too short and if you drive around the water there's no room to get lined up straight. Shut down area feels a bit short also. The pit area is dirty and looks like a freshly cindered old parking lot. Everything looks very run down. Watching cars run?... Hope you like looking through telephone poles and chain link fence. Expensive for quality of the place $15/person to watch weekend test and tune $40 to run. Unless you just want to hangout and maybe get some runs in on the poor prep... Go elsewhere. I've been there in three occasions and it's been a poor experience every time.Numidia dragway is my recommendation if it's within your...

Island dragway is the automotive world what American graffiti was the automotive world. It’s great all-time wholesome fun! It will take so-called street racers off the street and have them compete in a safe environment. This world needs a lot more places like Island dragway! I believe this place should be preserved and improved for decades to come! Since the beginning of time one man discovered four Wheels. there’s always been competition. And there’s only one way to settle it and that is on the track. Regardless of the time or what powers the car this track will provide the fun! I hope this track is around for...
