Rest Area — Local services in Independence

This rest area has a small shelter with a men's and women's restroom. The restrooms were very clean fresh and stocked with toilet paper, soap, and hand dryers. There is not any vending here. There are a few shelters that provide some shade with picnic tables and a couple of unshaded picnic tables. I don't imagine this would be a very nice place to make a long stop because it's very hot there's not a lot of shade and there's no nice scenery. Plus it's super close to the highway. So unless you are sick of being cooped up in the car I would just use this place as a bathroom break and get back...

just the right place for a rest because the grass was really well cut, when you walk right in theres bathrooms for men and women on each side, right infront of you is a 911 address and some drinking fountains the one drinking fountain outside did not work, but there are some chairs in the bushes...
