Covered Bridge Golf Club — Local services in Indiana

Terrible experience at this course a couple weeks ago. On the morning of the 4th day of a 10 man golf trip we had played at Fuzzy Zoellers’s Covered Bridge and Champions Point we were informed 6 of our 10 could not play. We called the course that Sunday morning to inform them and no problems were indicated by the pro shop. After finishing up the round in good time on an empty course we were followed out to our cars by a course employee I would assume to be a pro or ap. We were accosted by him and told we had to pay for the greens fees of those who were unable to play the final round of our trip. We explained the number of greens fees we purchased (along with beers/food/apparel etc.) over the 4 days and asked if there was any way to negotiate. We were met with an extremely negative attitude and forced to pay for the 6 greens fees, no discussion or the authorities would be called. This was the most disrespected I’ve ever felt in 30 years of playing golf. I will never play this course again and actively discourage anyone else from playing it. I recently hosted my wedding at the Covered Bridge Golf Club and I cannot begin to put into words how amazing our day was, all thanks to the staff. The chef catered to a custom menu for us. Our food tasting was beyond amazing, we were so impressed. The food the day of the wedding was nothing short of amazing, as well. All of our guests raved about how great the food was. The venue coordinator, Abby, was the reason our day ran so smoothly! Not only was she so easy to work with during the entire planning process, she helped keep things on track and keep me calm the days leading up to and the day of the wedding. I knew we were in good hands with her attention to detail so I was able to enjoy the day and not sweat any of the small stuff because she already had it under control. The staff was so helpful the day of with set up and clean up. They were so attentive to us and our guests. The views from the event space are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. Absolutely top-notch staff, well maintained course, and a challenging layout that requires precision from the tees.

I really enjoyed the front nine with two guys the staff paired me with a little ahead of my tee time so I wasn't a single on a busy day. Played the front in 2hrs 5 minutes.

The sole negative experience I had while playing there though was the pace of play on the back. Once I got to the 11th hole it was an absolute parking lot, and since the two gentlemen I was paired with quit after the front nine, I was a single. Nobody even remotely considered letting me go through, the pace of play was glacially slow, and so I was only able to play holes10through 15 in ~2 hours.

I would come back for sure, but I would also call the pro shop to get a handle on how congested the course is before booking.
