My computer died on a Friday evening. We are visiting the area and did a search for computer repair. I found Digibac and Bob Carter (owner) as the only option to check on my system on Saturday. I read the reviews and then called just before his opening time. He answered and I made arrangements to drop it off. It had locked up and then would not restart. We discussed the issue and he was most concerned about recovering the data (as was I). I left the machine with the promise of a flat rate till he determined next steps. He called within the next couple of hours with an update that he was working on recovering the data. He had also determined my drive was 8 years old. He called again later to tell me how much time it would take to copy all of my files. Later we talked and agreed to replace the drive with a solid state drive. He allowed me to pick up the repaired and working machine on a Sunday as he recognized we were traveling. He addressed the hard drive and was able to recover all my data and reload on the new drive. I recently delt with Mr. Carter from Digibac and received all of the above. It was actually on an ASUS A16 Laptop for my Granddaughter, who is taking engineering classes at Texas A&M. I needed to have software reloaded and updated, as well as a memory and storage upgrade to be certain it would perform all of her required CAD work.
Mr. Carter was able to perform all the task needed to completely prepare the device for the required tasks and did so in one afternoon. My Granddaughter has been using the laptop for some time now and has not experienced any issues.
