Please note I only stayed on kabetogama lake. The smaller lakes in the park may be very different from my experience, but I want give give this as a warning to people who want to stay on kabetogama.
I think this park is great for people driving motorboats around a lake, camping, and fishing. This is NOT a good park for people who enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and peace and quiet. The hiking trail closest to this center is like walking through a marshland. The trail is slick from the wet soil, is not maintained well, and the bugs are crazy. My guess is that the experience is better with a houseboat. The park's grand tour from rainy Lake is a good way to see the park and learn about...
