Worst place ever! Never again will I waste my money here. Never been here didn't know the skate "rules" we just brought my boyfriends sister here for her to have some fun. So well she skated we decided to play pool than this guy tells us we have to get skates its a rule. They took our shoes. That wasn't the problem the problem is my boyfriend has never skated before he kept falling he wasn't enjoying him self and my roller blades were hurting me so we decided to get our shoes back and turn in our skates and the guy wouldn't give our shoes back unless we were leaving he said "you can't wear shoes here unless you are an adult or you are leaving" we explained to the guy that my boyfriend was 19 technically he is an adult, and he still wouldn't give our shoes back. I've never been to a place where you can't just be in your shoes if you want to play a few games well your friends skate because you can't. Than he kept being rude to us after we decided to take our skates off completely and wear our socks because my feet hurt and my boyfriend can't skate he kept falling. As soon as we took the skates off the guy continued to tell us we had to keep our skates on unless we were leaving. We had enough of this childish nonsense and decided to leave. And when we left the guy followed us outside as we are walking away obviously walking home the guy asked if we had a ride and we said nope and we aren't coming back and he replied "is that a promise" this is definetly the wrose place ive ever been for roller blading. When did it become a maditory thing to be forced to skate when you go to a roller rink. The staff was rude. I don't recommended anyone to bring their business here. Creepy tall male worker, in neon shirt, kept asking my 12 year old daughter if my wife was single. Upset my daughter, and he creeped my daughter and wife out. We all noticed this guy staring at my wife and daughter and followed her around every weekend for four consecutive weekends. We have decided to make a formal complaint, and our daughter doesn't feel comfortable there. The adult male employees should NOT be asking children if parents are single, nor should they be looking for dates at work. My daughter is 12, wow. It was very disappointing because this was supposed to be a safe place for my child. Our 12 year old daughter should NOT be able to point that out about any employee there!!! Do NOT recommend it. Despite our efforts to ignore this, as a parent, there is NO way I will ignore the complaints. It was very disappointing and disturbing 😞

Went back a second time to make sure it was really that bad. The owner called this employee in while NOT WORKING, to harass my wife and I. Absolutely pathetic. Don't waste your time in podunk methville. This employee shaved his face to avoid the last review we left. We are currently working with the police and the BBB to make this known to the authorities and a safe place for minorities, minors, and all females. Absolutely pathetic!! Friday night at the Ionia Skateland my grandchild 14 witnessed a kid using racial slurs and derogatory remarks to another child. My grandchild stood up for the victim, the racist would not stop using slurs and that childs father proceeded to verbally attack my grand child and get in their face. My grandchild was kicked out at as a result at 9:15pm. at night by the owner who said that they had to leave the premises and could not even stay in the parking lot to wait for a ride. My grandchild was also banned for standing up against racsim. The racist child and parent were allowed to stay. My grandchild proceeded to walk down Jefferson st In the dark until my husband found them. The police have been notified and we will be taking action. And I am not sure what is happening in the community to ever tolerate this type of behavior from adults...
