Munsell's Poultry Processing — Local services in Iosco Township

I called at 11:33am The day before my appointment, Call went straight to voicemail. Did not receive a call back, call again at 4:02 PM. Just trying to confirm that the appointment was still going as scheduled. Once again, straight to voicemail. Drove down the next morning anyway, I called again at 7 AM, which is when their drop offs were supposed to begin, straight to voicemail. I arrived, and the lights were on and after walking around the parking lot, I realize the drop offs were around back.. There is nothing but a very small sign with no indication at all that you’re supposed to go to the back, indicating where drop offs are supposed to be, once I finally did drop off my chickens I arranged to have my brother pick up the chickens and the dog crate that I dropped them off in. He was able to pick up the chickens, but no mention was made of my dog crate. I found that out at approximately 5:30 PM. I called them then as their pick ups were supposed to run until 6 PM. The phone rang, but went to voicemail. The mailbox was full and I could not leave a message, I called them again the day after the phone rang and I was able to leave a message but still have not gotten called back. I paid less in California. $4.50 a bird is outrageous and to get liver heart and gizzard was $.50 more. No appointments every time I call. How do people in Michigan expect to do business as a farm needing usda processing. This is the only one in the state would,love to,know,why its so expensive. It's the first time I was there, but I needed to process a couple of my chickens who have you know outlived themselves. Everyone at the facility was very nice. Very helpful and very kind all the time. The product that they turned out was perfect. I would have to say it's much better than anything that I've seen in any of the big box chain stores.
