This home, perched atop a mountain with glorious views, was the perfect place for our family. The infinity pool was a delight in mornings and evenings. We rented the first floor (second floor or whole house is also available) which provided plenty of room for two adults and two kids. This home is decorated in a simple Scandinavian style -- it is not fancy, which is fine with us, but it has virtually everything you need and is sparkling clean. So many thoughtful touches throughout made our stay easier, including plenty of bath and beach towels, a large cooler to bring to the beach, four very nice beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and a well-stocked kitchen. There is a gas cooktop and a large convection microwave (serving as an oven), along with a dishwasher and full-sized fridge. There is a charcoal grill on the porch. Even though we didn't have access to the 2nd floor living space, we had use of the outdoor dining table on the large 2nd floor patio and the sitting area on the 3rd floor, which is magnificent. It was a great place to unwind with a cocktail in the early evening, listening to frogs peeping and taking in the glorious view. We had read that roosters might wake you up very early and to bring earplugs, but really our whole stay was very quiet. (Either the roosters behaved themselves or we were exhausted from full days of exploring the island -- not sure which!) Don't be turned off by the lack of A/C -- you definitely don't need it. Every day was in the 80s, but the louvered shutters on the doors and windows provided a lovely cool breeze, perfect for sleeping. We felt extremely safe the entire time. There is an iron gate you can lock, which is great for safety reasons but also keeps out the wildlife (TONS of horses on the island, and many friendly stray dogs as well). The only critter that got in was an adorable shy cat, but she didn't stay long. The home is only a few minutes' drive to the local grocery store, and is near several awesome food trucks, markets, etc. I recommend renting a car (we used Island Car Rental) to explore the island. None of the beaches, even the most remote, were more than a 30 or 40 minute drive from the house, and many are within 15 minutes. So much to see and do! I highly recommend 360 Vieques!!

Just a few quick hours flight from New York and you are in a whole new world. The island is the exact right size with incredible beaches, wild horses and turtles, and some really good restaurants. The house, 360 Vieques, is the perfect Caribbean getaway for a long weekend during the cold New York winter. When it is cold and snowy in New York it is 80 F on Vieques. We woke up and opened the double doors to the view every morning. Such luxury to lay in bed with the ocean view in front of you...and so different from my view in New York! We had sun all the time except one afternoon when it was overcast. That day we cooked at home and hung out in the garden. There are flowers everywhere. So pretty!! The house is lovely, modern and very clean, with the most incredible views in every direction. When we were not exploring the beaches we spent our days lounging by the pool and sipping piña colada on the Eagles Nest on top of the house. Perfection!! You can see miles and miles of ocean and small islands. 360 Vieques sits high on a hilltop and there is a wonderful breeze (to cool you off and keep the mosquitos away). The neighborhood of Monte Carmelo is cute and quaint, and the neighbors are friendly and just far enough for privacy... and close enough to feel safe. There is a gate you can lock when you go to the beach, and we felt very safe there. The house manager was very helpful, and the owner super easy to communicate with. We can't wait to go back to 360!!

I traveled here this past week with two of my best friends and we had a fantastic time. The house is adorable. Definitely on the smaller side but has everything you could need. It's located on the very top of a hill where you can see all the edges of the island. It's situated between both of the "major" towns, so traveling anywhere was really easy.

House is gated to keep out the horses and dogs. It was SO COOL to see horses outside every day. One morning I woke up to a horse "naying" and opened the door to see not only a horse, but a horse, dog AND a cat playing in the street together. SO CUTE.

The kitchen is nice and fully equipped with a dishwasher, automatic ice maker in the fridge, microwave/convection oven, coffee maker, etc etc.

The living room has a beachy vibe with a small flat screen and DVD player, and also a pretty awesome DVD library! We watched quite a few movies and TV (on DVD) shows late at night. There is also a book shelf full of books.

The master bedroom is small but sweet, with French doors that open up to the balcony over looking the ocean. The other bedroom was simple with two twin beds. The only thing I would change about the bedrooms would be adding in some drawers to put clothes into. There are shelves but they're filled to the brim with bath/beach towels, and extra blankets and sheets. That being said, we really appreciated all of the towels!

There is also free laundry on site! It was fabulous to go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes.

House has a cooler and two beach chairs.

Pool was perfectly beautiful.

Loved having coffee on the roof every morning, and a nightcap up there every night!

We rented a jeep and traveled to the reserve beaches every day, which were only 15 minutes away. The most gorgeous, empty beaches I've been to yet. Loved them!

There is a little bodega down the street where we could get cheap alcohol, fruit, veggies sometimes, eggs, snacks, etc.

The property manager, Dennis, was super helpful and gave us all sorts of tips on the island. He met us at Maritzas and let us follow him to the house so we wouldn't get lost. He also told us we could contact him whenever we needed to ask a question about anything.

Kristina, the owner of the house, was super friendly and available if ever we should need her too. She gave us fun little tips, and a long description of each of her favorite restaurants/bars, etc.

All in all, it was a fantastic trip and we will DEFINITELY go back....

Honestly, if we had stayed here just for the view we would have not been disappointed, but lucky for us 360º Vieques had it all!

Location: It was situated on one of the highest points in Vieques. You literally have 360Ëš views of the ocean from the rooftop viewing area (eagle's nest)! My favorite part of the day was eating breakfast on the patio that overlooked the pool and beautiful island. Vieques itself is a stunning, untouched beauty. These beautiful beaches would be packed if more people knew about this hidden gem of an island.

Cleanliness: I am so picky when it comes to this, and 360Ëš Vieques passed the test ;) but really I was pleased with the cleanliness.

Amenities: The pool and patio was an absolute highlight for us. It was beautiful. We were a little worried about not having WiFi, but our phone service worked better in Vieques than at home! (AT&T) We are the type of travelers that go to the local markets and cook most of our meals, so we were pleased to find that this home had everything we needed.

Communication: Filippa and Jenny were great to communicate with. Amazing, actually. They were quick to respond and gave us suggestions when we couldn't find a car rental. The check-in/out process was easy and straight forward and they offered many local suggestions for beaches and restaurants.

Tips: Stargazing from the rooftop is an absolute must! Also, the house is designed to let the breeze in, so be sure to open all of the windows and enjoy that island breeze!

I can't wait to visit here again and bring my parents. We have been home a month, and I think I've already told everyone I know that they need to...
