San Pedro Catholic Church — Local services in Islamorada

I am sad this church is not welcoming to visitors. They have signs at the doors that clearly mandate - Do not enter without a mask - . We put on our masks, no problem. They have every other pew roped off so only 1/2 the church is for the faithful. Only families can sit together so they end up with a lot of side pews that only have one or two people in them and a lot of center pews with as few as 3-5 people.

If you go to church at San Pedro, you may end up bunched up and standing in the back of church or you may just decide to leave instead when you see the situation. I experienced elderly people standing for an hour because benches are roped off. The faithful are standing shoulder to shoulder in the back of church. Many people just walked out after a few minutes of accessing the situation. Common sense and the welcome mat is missing here. I kept asking Jesus for to forgive my wandering mind and to give those around me strength to stand.

I see no reason to attend this church if you are a visitor. I do recommend going to St. Justin Martyr Church. While both churches are under the direction of the social rules requirements of the Archbishop of Miami, St Justin is welcoming to visitors and Father is the best. I’ve been to church is all over the US, even during Corona, and this is my very first review. I just felt that if you are visiting the area and want to worship, going to St Justin is Martyr is wonderful....

Está, serrada, un policía q me boto de un parqueo de gas Estación después de revizar mi documentacion a las 3:00am aqui en key de la florida cumpliendo las reglas me recomendo venir a una iglesia , púes repitió en los cayos no puedes dormir en tú carro (aún q esto ocurre en todo los 🇺🇸)" Pais de libertad y de los derechos humanos" haber si la iglesia me da permiso de dormir en su amplio parqueo, casa de DIOS. Soy homeless turista, sin $, ciudadano, recor limpio, con un pasado de familia trágico, integro y no tengo derecho x mi citación a dormir en mi carro, no importa oh no manejar con sueño traiga un fatídico accidente donde haya perdidas que lamentar.( Es un accidente más) no cree amig@s lectores? ESTOY DESABILITADO, OPERADO DE CORAZÓN HABIERTO X 2 VESES, DIABETES TIPO 2, ARTRITIS Y NO ME DEJAN VIVIR. ESTOY PENZANDO ASTA EN SUCIDARME, PÚES NO QUIERO OTROS MURAN EN UN ACCIDENTE PROBOCADO POR MI SUEÑO Y OBLIGADO A MANEJAR EN ALTAS HORAS DE LA NOCHE. Y HAY MÁS...... PERDÓN, PERO ESTO ESTOY VIVIENDO. GRATO...

I have no idea why anyone would leave nothing but a five star review on a Catholic church. I've been going to the church for 10 years and they're extremely welcoming to everybody and anyone that says otherwise is nitpicking and needs to reevaluate their world perspective. San Pedro's fantastic....
