Called about reclaiming a dog that belonged to my wife's uncle before he died. My wife's cousin had just barely surrendered the purebred golden retriever before we found out about it. They told us a lie that the dog had to be spayed the next day before being adopted and then had three showings the day after that. And that if nobody adopted the dog then we would be called back. We found out a few days later that the dog was already committed to be adopted out before we had even called. Why the lie?

Read moreHappened to be walking by, thought I would peek in, and saw the most adorable black Lab puppy, sadly separated from its owner. My heart breaking, I spoke with one of the employees who explained that Ivins has a "No kill" policy; they keep the animals for 5 days waiting for the owner to show up. No owner, the pets are sent to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kaneb. Okay I now felt somewhat better about the pets - but terrible for their owners.

Read moreAfter having an unpleasant experience with the St George shelter I came here to get a bunny. The staff was very nice helpful and the facility was great. Instead of the bunnies being in tiny crates and scared (St George shelter) this place had a nice enclosure so we could actually go in and sit with the bunnies and see their personalities. I left with a bunny who was abandoned on one of the trails about a week prior. I can't even believe people do that!! Overall I was so happy with my experience and will definitely be returning...
