I have to give some credit for my first experience, 3 stars is appropriate. I had a much better experience when i forst called a few weeks back. I called today to ask about a part (02 galant driver door) that I've been needing for a vehicle because I own a dealership and I repair some cars from Salvage to reconstructed.
I speak to a gentleman on the phone 2/15/2025 at 10:15am. Nice, but rude at the same time.
I asked about a door for a vehicle and their hours for today, he stated they close at 2pm. The website says 4pm when i checked after the call and Google says 3pm. I move on to tell him that I am almost 2 hours away, I will be picking up a part from another location and I would like to pick up the door at the same time, since I will be in the area. He apologized and stated he would not be able to pull the part for today, it will be for Monday. I know it does not take much to unbolt a door, but if its policy, I understand. I own a business, but I would not do business that way and lose a potential sale and or customer.
I then move on and asked him how much was the price of door again,( to gauge if it was worth the wait or look elsewhere). He then says, " if you called about it before, they didn't tell you the price sir?". I immediately felt his lack of respect was valid and said nevermind sir and disconnected the call.
I wrote this review with hopes it will be read by a manager/owner, because clearly, there is not one on the weekend. If he is the manager, any potential customer, beware!! I just got off a long shift and I held a nice tone, respectful and reached out to this establishment for my business and the last thing a person needs is someone to treat your needs as if they are not as important. If it was for him or his friends/family, I'm sure he would have moved mountains .
There was enough time and effort to handle this differently and he chose the lower part of the ladder. I would have gladly taken the door off myself, if allowed. Please do better, not everyone deserves a hard way to go. Trust me, there's a difference and all dealerships are up for license renewal, I have enough on my plate. He was not nasty, just rude. I know the difference in good service and a person who doesn't care. It was uncalled for, you really could have made a difference today.
I now have to wait and search elsewhere for this door and the closes is 270 from here in that color. I would rather go the distance if it means I won't be treated like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI purchased a 2012 Nissan Versa from Central Jersey Auto Salvage on May 6th, 2023 for a graduation gift for myself, but what I received was a vehicle riddled with hidden issues and a complete lack of transparency.
At the time of purchase, I was assured that the car had been in only a minor accident, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. As I delved deeper into ownership. It's worth noting that I spent considerable time and money on enhancements, taxes, license plate transfer, and repairs right after the purchase, adding up to a whopping $700 to $1000.
After these initial expenses, the true extent of the car's issues started to reveal itself. A Philadelphia state inspection revealed multiple problems, including a new front tire requirement, a tag light replacement, and a malfunctioning front right headlight. This cost me an additional $300 in repairs.
But the surprises didn't stop there. My check engine light illuminated shortly after, prompting me to seek professional help. Two different auto shops confirmed that I needed a new exhaust system and a co-sensor replacement.
To make matters worse, when I returned to Central Jersey Auto Salvage seeking accountability for selling me a faulty vehicle, I was met with indifference and a complete lack of responsibility. Dave, the representative I spoke to, not only downplayed the issues but also suggested I buy a new Cadillac converter at my own expense. It's bewildering how they expect me to spend even more money with them after they knowingly sold me a car with major mechanical problems.
You can save yourself time, money, and headaches by looking elsewhere for a reputable dealership that respects and values its customers. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I can confidently say that I will never recommend Central Jersey Auto Salvage to anyone. I ENDED UP SPENDING 2500 ON A WHOLE NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM AND NEW BRAKE PADS. Also, it is now leaking oil from the engine so I am forced to sell my car and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMike and Dave are great guys! Stopped by on whim after my commuter car was totaled by my insurance company just to see what they had. I spoke with Mike about what I was looking for and he was honest about what he had available i.e) that ones kinda rough, too many miles on that one etc. He let me know about a car he just bought and was bringing in that night an older 4 Runner with 110k miles on it, and how much he was going to ask for it. I offered a deposit since they are hard to find with that low miles and in my price range. He refused to take a deposit and told me he would get the truck and wait for me to see it. He brought that truck in later that night and called me to look at, I took it out for a ride for about 1/2 hour or so and found the truck to be in great condition. He pulled a carfax and found it was a one owner, with a minor accident, and dealer serviced, at that point I was sure I had a good truck. He probably could have gotten more money for it than he originally asked for it!
Yeah the truck is used and had its bumps and bruises and these guys went above and beyond to make the truck nearly perfect. The windshield had a crack they had it replaced, the bumper end cap had a dent they gave me a replacement, passenger window was scratched up they gave me a replacement. These guys did not need to do it but they did!
Even after I came back and picked it up the next day they weren't satisfied with the rushed detail job they had me take it to Garden State Auto and Car wash and they cleaned her right up almost looks new!!
Honest and...
