The live band is amazing worship music is actually the best part. The door greeters are very welcoming. However there is not any woman’s bible studies or groups that fit anybody with a past if you know what I mean. It’s a big church and on Easter Sunday I sat alone no one was welcoming and to my left I heard a group discussing my presence and saying things about my choice of clothing. Pretty much it’s a click kinda sanctuary outsider’s are not welcomed nor wanted from my experience not lack on my part. I even attended the alpha group held at one of the pastors house it wasn’t what I expected it was supposed to be about questions about the bible or God I’m thinking since I am new in all this it would have been perfect buttttttt,,, yeah it was nothing of the sort. One preacher really stood out and it was the one from this past Sunday and he was absolutely amazing and I felt his passion for the Lord and he was so in tune with his sermon just an amazing guy. At the end of his sermon which was about SIN and he asked for people to come up and just spend time at the alter married couples singles people struggling or just anyone who wanted to leave anything at the alter to take that time and go up I was amazed only a very small handful of people actually went less than 10 would be my guess and the church was pretty full. It’s amazing how perfect people seemed to be especially the ones who continue to talk because my presence is making them unsteady or something idk. This is a perfect church for anyone who wants to place that check mark by Sunday service on there weekly to do list. But this isn’t the place for people who need guidance help and want a better understanding of God it’s not for the people who want to be serious about being saved it’s not for the broken trying to get support from elders in a church it’s just not for people with a past life of sin and brokenness. The people here at this church will leave you more broken by the judgemental stares and gossip. I only gave it 2 stars for the band but the band and that one preacher...

Stunned and Appalled. Last night we saw John Crist for the 4th time. The 3rd time was last year at the Alive Christian Music Festival (Atwood Lake). We paid for VIP tickets to see Crist and sat in the front row. Last night, we excitedly looked forward to the show, and brought friends along. We have enjoyed his humor (sarcasm), wit, creativity, and showmanship. As we sat and listened, however, to his “DJ” play a litany of worldly secular music, from artists that openly espouse their disdain for God and His church, we were stupefied. As the people bobbed and danced in their seats, and raised their smartphone lights in revelry, I saw “Christians,” celebrating Satan in the sanctuary of a church.
I am not a Pharisee, nor a legalist. I love (and prefer) contemporary Christian music (we saw Crist at the Winter Jam Christian Rock concert). Jesus, however, was not even invited to the show last night. He was left outside as the first two secular comedians told their jokes, and then Crist demonstrated how his “Comedy,” has devolved to look and sound like the world (e.g., Joking about a women’s cup size at Hooters). All of this as he uses Christian venues to further his goals.
The crowd seemed oblivious as they sang along and waved their hands to Miley Cyrus, Journey’s - the smell of wine and cheap perfume, and the lyrics of a list of artists that hate Christ. John Crist, like Lauren Daigle, Hillsong, Joel Osteen, and others, has clearly chosen to pursue the wealth and fame of this world. As the people around me reveled and partied (like the money changers in the Temple), I removed myself from the temple, and will not see John Crist Again. It is sad and deeply disappointing. We recently saw Christian comedian Michael Jr., who is funny, thought provoking, and speaks about his love of Christ, in his show at NAZ.
Through the years, I have visited NAZ for different sermons, and events. I pray that the Church leadership will take a good look at what occurred last night in their...
Read moreFirst. I’ve never reviewed a church before. So this is new and uncharted territory. But I felt the need to address the issue and maybe the leadership at the church can relay the messages to those who attend. Maybe because the church is so big and has a lot of people that attend that it draws people of all. It seems that most people there call themselves Christians because they attend that church when in reality when they leave that church they are the complete opposite of what a Christian should be. I’ve have more than 10 encounters, which is why it inspired me to write this review about people that are “players” and just plain mean to others yet say they attend “the Naz” and are Christians.
Maybe a message should be when you leave that church maybe you should represent that church since they are throwing the name around. Focus more on living the Jesus way instead of putting on a show to draw tithes. I’m more than appalled to see just the few times I attended how people act outside the church and still claim to be a Christian. If those people who attend that church call themselves Christian, it makes me not to want to be one. Thankfully I started attending a smaller church focusing on Christlike behaviors and focusing on the word instead of a show. People are more genuine in smaller environments and it shows...
