Jenny Lake Parking — Local services in Jackson

You will need to get here stupid early to get any parking spots. We arrived at almost 7:30am, and we took one of the last open spots. The line to park often extends out of the lot, with people parking their cars and leaving for several hours of hiking.

No trip to the Yellowstone/Grand Teton area is complete without a visit to Jenny Lake. Its mirror-like surface and snow-capped peaks made me think of postcards and 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzles. Arrived at 715am on 24 Aug Saturday. It was mostly empty to our surprise. (Maybe the other reviews were written during school holidays?) When we left at 4pm we could easily see that cars had been forced to park half a mile down the road though once the carpark filled.
