The science that connects to Flints water problem is due to the Flint river being known for its filth, as I mentioned earlier. Lots of harmful chemicals (Lead, Iron, etc.) seeped into the water, and the water stuck to the chemicals. (due to waters “sticky” nature.) Another factor leading to their water being undrinkable is when the snow thawing in the spring, the salts used for treating roads will become runoff, and join the flint river. The Flint river is 19 times more corrosive than the Huron river next to it” according to researchers at Virginia Tech. As I also mentioned earlier, its easier and cheaper for corporations to overlook and pollute communities of color than white communities, because they think communities of color don't have a voice in what happens in their towns, which is whats happening to Flint.
