The lake and park are great places to relax and enjoy nature. Nice beach to let the kids play on and decent BBQ facilities. My only objection is that you need to visit their website and the state parks & wildlife websites and read carefully the rules and regulations. We got ticketed despite going to the website and reading up on the rules and as it turned out they stated one rule on one part of the park website and it was restated differently on another part of the same website. We ended up paying $200 on a very minor infraction that one park ranger gave us an ok on but another park ranger cited us. We wanted to challenge the fine in court but instead of the judge we were directed to two legal clerks who pretty much ruled against us.
