We stopped in kind by accident there was a wreck on the interstate and everyone kept going around so we gave it a try as well because I had to find a bathroom. First thing we seen was a sign saying dead end. OMG!! But we drove on down and ran into this dam, and yes it had bathrooms I had never been so happy to see bathroom in my life. They was clean, didn't smell, very nice bathrooms. We walked around to kill time for the wreck to be cleaned up. The swimming area was nice had one area roped I guess for the kiddos. We had been to Nashville and was on way home. I would go back to this place to take kids to swim or fish if allowed. The water looked pretty clean no trash or miss floating around. Do not back too far down the ramp. It drops off 2'. Our trailer frame was sitting on the concrete ramp while our wheels didn't even touch bottom. Twra came by and I thought oh we'll get help now... After working at it for awhile someone who came by and helped suggested to bring our pontoon boat over the trailer and tie a rope on the back end of the trailer and lift it up and pull the trailer out. A great boat ramp with a large picnic and parking area, also a campground is available for day and long-term camping. Very busy during Nice weather and holidays. Sometimes you have to wait for an hour to get your boat out of the water on very busy days. Not a lot of parking space available for people with cars and trailers attached.
