The Fitness Factory — Local services in Jasper

I called and visited today Saturday. First off the place is being run by teenagers NOT a professional staff in any way shape or form. The two time's I called kids answered the phone and acted like it was real burden on them that I asked directions. See the address on Google is NOT where they are anymore as I found out the hard way. They have no webpage. When I finally got someone on the phone the attitude,despite my calm and polite voice, continued but they finally gave me the address on Hollis Crump Drive off 78.

I stopped by and yep its teenagers running it. The staff as the front desk when I asked for information about joining just handed me a sheet and rattled off there 3 mth, 6 mth, and 1 year prices then looked at me all very expensive (over a 100 dollars for 3 mth and it go's way up from there). and said nothing else. They seem to think anyone who walk's automatically want's to join but when I asked for a tour I got a hate filled look but they went and got someone (yep another teenager) to do so.

This place is very plain, has no class, and seemed very crammed together to me. Lots of equipment (big variety) that seemed taken care of. The pool is NOT a pool but something only to do laps in and that's about it. The do have a small sauna showers and the like. Most rooms where dark (light turned out) with no one it and there was very few people.

I would have tried it out but with piss poor and condescending attitude of the entire staff I met, the plain jammed together nature of the place, they high prices (no 30 day plan), I want nothing to do with the place and so should you. They need to replace there entire staff with people who are professional want yo make you feel welcome and to join be it over the phone or in person. They do not..go elsewhere in my viewpoint. I could not get to my truck...

Facility is filthy, there is no cleaning by members after equipment use and no oversight. I spotted several areas that were unhealthy and unsafe. to get to the senor workout room you pass by the abandoned pool area which looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years. voicing my opinion to management the response was "well its in the contract for members to clean the equipment after they use it so it not my fault"

RESPONSE TO OWNERs POST. first lets be accurate, I never stated i would use the post to "get even" what I said was "I'll fully pay for the one payment but since we have not used the facility in over a month I will split the final payment with you" he refused so i said" was the $20 really worth the bad review". Second I always consider all reviews with a grain of salt i also encourage you to see the facility yourself especially the pool area. we have held gym memberships for 10 years and this is by far the worst place i have ever...

Best place I've ever been involved with other than my church I haven't been going like I should go but that's my fault the saying I've always used is if it was easy everybody would be doing it if you want to lose weight and you want the right equipment to do it I think you should go and join the fitness factory when I joined it was $30 to sign up and then 20 a month from that point on and I know it's 40 if you use cash and 30 to start if you use a card so I would have I would recommend anyone who would like a great place to go enjoy a swim a hot tub a sauna a great weight lifting workout cardio workout bicycling treadmills any machine you could imagine they have it and they're all working and wonderful go to fitness factory I love the place if I'm not there that's my...
