Dry Tavern Ace Hardware — Local services in Jefferson Township

I took down my last review, because it might have been bordering the line of "maybe" a little too harsh. However, that being said, I still stand by my feelings for the assistant manager. I feel he does lack people skills and like two of the male employees act like they are forever and always stressed and don't want to be there, but hey, maybe, it's my husband and I,( could be , a person never knows). Other than those 2 guys the rest of the store is hands down customer friendly and are very pleasant folks. The owner is just down to earth, friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing and lovable. He truly cares about his store and his customers. It shows!!! WOW, if you EVER do want a store that takes you back to the good ol' days when you can walk into a store and the owner greets you with a warm welcome and he remembers who you are and goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are helped and that they are happy, then THIS Ace is the place to be... To tell you the truth I was never going to go back to this store after my last visit. The owner was not working on my last visit, it was his assistant manager (I still say he needs training), just trying to help a business owner out because, I am not the only person that has had the same problem with the same person, so, I know, it can't be my husband and me, cause it wouldn't have happened to others. I'm not being harsh, I am leaving a review in order to help, I don't do it to hurt someone's establishment. I point out the good and I point out the bad,. if there is any, that way it can be addressed and handled. I know, I would want to know, if my customers were not satisfied and were treated any different, than how I would have treated them, because a business (an establishment) is only as good as your worst employee... This owner works too hard and is too nice of a person to have such a harsh review as my last. My apologies to you Nate, sincerely, Jacquelyn Reihl, love...

I came in looking for specific items for a project I was working on. Asked an employee where said item was and he acted put off that he had to show me where it was. He then proceeded to ask me what I needed it for. When I told him he acted like he was offended, proceeded to tell me "this item is for metal only!" Dude, I'm buying it for what I want it for, and really its none of your effin business that I'm using it on something I want to use it on. This guy was getting aggressive with me and I figured I'd just buy all of the product and give him something to rage about. Maybe,just maybe, if you're a woman and you go to this hardware store be advised that there's some male employees who think you're stupid and don't belong in there. I thought it would be nice to have a hardware store close by where I could purchase drill bits, saw blades and other things I work with daily. But guess since I'm a woman I can't go there. While we were visiting family in the area, we went to the Ace Hardware Store in Rices Landing, PA. Our relative’s dryer needed repair and Nathan, an employee at Ace, was so very helpful in assisting with fixing the part from the dryer. He went out of his way to provide ideas for the repair and actually took the time to physically repair the part. All the staff in the store were friendly and very pleasant to deal with. These staff members should be commended for a job well done. It was really appreciated. Bob and Barbara...
