This place has the nerve to have this poster in the drivers lounge. Know what your biggest cost of downtime is? Bringing it to this absolute joke of a repair facility. After being told to bring in our truck because the swivel seats were installed on opposite sides AT THE FACTORY and it would be âtaken care ofâ we get there and they have a million excuses as to why it wouldnât be covered under warranty. First thing we were told was because it was a day cab that came in without swivel seats. If the service manager would have had the ambition to actually step outside and LOOK at the the truck he would have seen that it was a truck that came from the factory with a 70 inch sleeper on it, not an aftermarket bolt on to a day cab. Next excuse was that it should have been noticed within the first 12k miles or at the PDI. The truck has 35k on it so asking for what should be at most 45 minutes to fix them isnât asking for too much. After much back and forth , they acted like they were doing us a favor by âsplitting the differenceâ on the labor to do the swap which ended up being $250. Is it the point of the $250? Nope. Not at all. But i hope you enjoyed that $250 because it will now cost you a whole lot more in what the bad word of mouth advertising will be sure to do if ANYONE I know in the trucking industry ( and that is a LOT of people) asks me where to bring or buy a new vehicle. Then to top off the complete incompetence, the truck was brought into the shop at 6 pm and we were told that they would get on it right away. I went up to the drivers lounge and told the service manager to let me know when it was done. About 2 hours later, I hadnât heard anything so i go and check on it and was told that it was still being worked on. At 10 Pm , i texted MY fleet service manager to call the shop to see what the problem was. He was then put on hold for 22 minutes until he finally texted me and asked me to go tell them to go pick up the phone. The service manager working at 10 pm on oct. 9, 2023 said that he emailed the invoice at 7:52 pm and was waiting to hear back from my fleet service manager. I told him you knew i was upstairs waiting, why didnât you just come get me and i could have gotten you a response back right away instead of me sitting up there for 2 hours after the truck was finished?? His response was ,well we email every other company and always get a response back. I told him well if youâd pick up the damn phone you can talk to my fleet service manager right now cause youâve had him on hold for 22 minutes. So for a simple seat swap it ended up taking 4 hours in what probably took all of 45 minutes to unscrew the seats and reposition them. Overall, if you would like to waste a good portion of your night or day , feel free to bring your vehicle to this location. They have no problem at all wasting your time and act like you are bothering them by having them do what is their job. I literally cannot wait until somebody asks me what a good freightliner dealer is to buy or repair a truck and tell them just how ridiculously incompetent this...
Read moreAs you read my review, keep in mind that I am (was) a returning customer. I am college-educated, and well established in the community. I own a 39 foot diesel Winnebago that periodically needs service or repair. My last repair at Fyda was critical. Without going into details, it took way too long and apparently wasn't quite the right part because it required "drilling" to fit it in. (I am cringing). The cost seemed to be way above normal. However, I paid for it, and it works, although I left with a sense of disappointment in Fyda's ability to get the job done in a timely fashion, procure the correct part, and provide technical expertise to install said part in an efficient fashion. Now, to the present. I needed a transmission service interval taken care of. In english, a fluid and filter change. A screw-on external filter. My little manual for the transmission says how to do it. I just didn't have the time or a receptacle large enough to handle the volume of fluid. I decided to take it to a professional instead. After perusing the Allison Transmission website, I saw that Fyda was a certified service provider, and since I am (was) a customer, I decided to try them again, to see how a preventive maintenance task would be handled, since I was already aware (my opinion) of how an emergency repair was handled! I made an appointment to bring it in the next week and agreed to a 6AM to 10AM window. I arrived at 6:05AM. Somewhere around 9:30AM I inquired as to whether the work would still be done by 10AM. The look I received indicated that I might as well have asked for complimentary breakfast and a room. I made a comment to the effect of why set an appointment of 4 hours if you don't intend to honor it. I was told that they were trying to get one of the techs to look at it, but probably not till after 10. The window was beginning to look more like a chasm. Thirty minutes later I was informed that they don't have the filter in stock and would have to order it. Probably take "a little while". I'm seeing the chasm turn into a canyon... At 11:15, I had enough. I went to the counter and asked for my keys. The guy said, we don't have the filter, we're just waiting on it. I asked for my keys. He said he can't find them. I said, "Now you've LOST my keys?" Another manager walked up with my keys and I left. In my opinion, no one should take their vehicle there unless they either have no other choice or don't want to see it for a while, or just want to spend time sitting around and sleeping. This was a colossal waste of my time. I have lost confidence in Fyda, and will NOT be returning. Caveat Emptor. You get one star only because I can't give you a ZERO. Your process needs attention. You need to hire more technicians and you need to honor your schedules. Have you even read the other reviews? I advise your customers to do so before they follow my lead. By the way, I am considered a very patient person, and very tolerant. Your staff at the Columbus Ohio facility pushed me over the edge. Get...
