If I could base my review solely off the fried shrimp we had tonight, I’d be leaving 5 stars. Friday’s are their ribs, shrimp, or fish dinner special for $12 (includes 2 sides of your choice). My husband and I ordered the fish dinner with potato salad and coleslaw, ribs with potato salad and baked beans, and 8 pieces of shrimp for 90 cents each. So all together it was just under $32.

I’m leaving photos of the dinners to give you an idea of how much you’ll get for $12.

My husband said the fish was good, but he wasn’t sure if the 4 pieces of fish were worth $12. I didn’t try any, but the fish looked good, definitely not as greasy as most places that do fish fry Friday’s. However, the 4 pieces of fish he got were small and skinny and not filling for him. If you have an appetite, you might want to order extra fish.

The rib dinner was pretty good. I love ribs, but don’t order them very often because of how much meat you tend to get for how much they cost and I would say this is a place that I might recommend to someone who wants ribs. I’ve definitely had better ribs, but there was actually a decent amount of meat on the bones. Even though the meat had good flavor, these were hands down the driest ribs I’ve ever had. If you like your ribs wet, make sure you have bbq sauce at home. I’m glad I had some sweet baby rays on hand. I can’t say that I wouldn’t ever get them again, they just wouldn’t be my first choice.

For the sides. Potato Salad- their best side and what I have always known this place for. You can get big containers of it, but it’s far from cheap lol.

Baked Beans- Good, but definitely on the sweeter side.

Coleslaw- Good, kinda reminds me of KFC coleslaw, but a little sweeter.

The dinners came with a roll, the good kind.

The Fried Shrimp- Hands down the best fried shrimp I’ve ever had. We asked them if we could do a fish and shrimp dinner and they said they don’t offer that, but they’d sell us the fried shrimp for 90 cents each. We figured why not since we’ve never had their shrimp before and my biggest regret is not doubling my order. I’m not a fried shrimp fan at all, like not even a little bit actually, and I’m already plannin on gettin the fried shrimp dinner next Friday night because the ones we had tonight were SO GOOD!!!! Fingers crossed they taste just as good next week as they did tonight! 🤞🏻
