My grandson and I just had lunch there. Both of us had the BBQ plates with fries and slaw. The meat was excellent, moist and tasty with the hot sauce that we got. The fries were HOT and the small order of slaw was very good. The Texas toast was grilled and hot, also. The serving of meat and fries was were large. The young lady preparing the food wore gloves as she was cooking the food. She had a great personality. Ironically, I worked on a Harts Bread truck as a 14 year old in late 1960's and we delivered buns/bread to this place of business. The current owner and I discussed the history of the business which included the previous 4 owners that were all connected to the Boles family. It's an interesting old building with an interesting history...

A 10 out a10 the food is excellent the people are very friendly and Hot sou and liverwurst is the best on the planet my wife and I stop by when ever we get a chance to get $15.00 worth of it too make out trip worth driving down the highway! Oh and don’t forget to buy you some single crackers packages or bring you some with you because you won’t regret it trust me some of best Darn Cheeseburgers we have ever eaten been coming by this place for 6 years hasn’t let us down not once that saying something about this place and get you a cold Hamms beer to wash it down. Wonderful little country store. The building and atmosphere reminds me of something from my childhood in the 70's. Not much as far as store items go..just some snacks and drinks. But the deli food is delicious, the service is great, the prices are reasonable,and the people(and dog) are very friendly. Definitely a place I would return to next time I travel through the area.
