I have played here quite a bit in the past. Itās never been a very nice course but itās always been reasonably priced to play some practice rounds and work on my game. Iāve had some strange encounters there such as rude clubhouse attendants, slow play, etc. My most recent experience was the last straw.
I was playing 9 holes and I went off on 10. No one in front or behind, just a leisurely round. I caught up to a group of 5 older men after the first few holes. I figured since I was playing alone they would let me play through considering they were about a hole and a half behind the group of 2 in front of them. I was wrong. I was constantly standing there on the tee box watching them tee off and they had zero regard for me and no interest in keeping up their pace. 6 holes of standing around waiting.
So I finally get to 18. Theyāre moving to the green so I tee off. As Iām driving up 18, I see another man standing in the middle of the fairway near the green hitting drives back towards the tee box. As I get closer, he is still teeing balls up and hitting them towards me. Iām inside of 100 yards driving directly at him and he tees up another and sends it directly over top of me.
Once I got up there I asked him what in the world he was doing. He said he was warming up for his league. BY HITTING BALLS ON A HOLE PEOPLE WERE PLAYING. I was stunned by this. He said he does it all the time.
Donāt waste your money at this dump. No management or concern for players time or money. A bunch of good old boys who donāt want any outsiders around. Just an absolute joke...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePaid $42 per person on a 1230 Sunday tee time with cart for a total of $84 for two.
First the course. It's a strange course. Fairly straight for the most part and albeit boring at times. In the course there are several holes that have greens and the next tee box VERY Close together that will cause crossplay and honestly not very safe. Was almost hit several times because of this. Most of the golfers that were playing the course were hacks at best and often balls were all over the place.
Second - There was no course management as a group of six was on the course on a busy Sunday afternoon and play was stacked up the entire time. Additionally the cart paths were atrocious and best to avoid at all costs. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE AFTER RAIN. unfortunately the place does not absorb rain at all from the fairways through the greens - it was very very bad with huge puddles and ponding across the course.
Next I played from the blues and honestly some of the tee boxes were very, very bad and should be fixed so you can actually find a fairly flat and grassy area.
Overall for the price it's not worth it. I could think of a ton of other nicer courses in the area for equal or a little bit more price and would have a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time to ever play this course yesterday, Starting off the staff was friendly and welcoming and pricing for golf was great (although I've never been served 4 canned drinks in a plastic bag with ice thrown in it when there's coolers on the bar empty). First hole off the tee and up the fairway found a mud hole, thought it was odd but hey we've had a bunch of rain in the last couple days so onward I pressed. Nope found them all over the course, next to the cart path (which are terrible), short of the greens even in some cases. Not particularly impressed by having to layup on each drive since there's a creek or water hazard at the 240-260 range, either be im the air at 250 and beyond or spend time attempting to find your ball in the water or edge of the tall grass. Greens are nice and play well, challenging slopes as well as nicely tucked into the scenery which makes play a refreshing challenge. Long fairways with plenty of hidden hazards not viewable from the tee box, (nice when you have a phone app to consult). Overall not overly impressed but worth the play at least once, I'll give a honest second chance maybe the mud puddles are dried up by then, but I'm guessing the cart path isn't any...
