I purchased a mobile home last year. To my surprise what was a yearâs warranty became 90 days, if the home was rented. This was not disclosed at the time of purchase even though they knew the home would possibly be rented. Once the home was set, they came one time. Thatâs it. Iâm on my 3rd leak due to the pex pipe not being clamped tight. These are not fast leaks that you find as soon as you turn the water on. They are slow ticking rot bombs. Tic toc! The other leak was due to them stapling the vapor barrier where someone had cut it and the tape wasnât enough so they stapled it. Yeap right through the pex pipe. Slow leak until the plumber was trying to figure out why insulation was full of water. He pulled the tape and thatâs when the staple came out of the hole. I had to open panels in brand new walls to see why water was running out of walls (no access panels). I called the factory and got no help. Brand new home with water running out of the walls because it was rented. I was barely past the 90 days and the tenant had been in the home under a month. This was a manufacturer issue not a tenant issue. Aside from the leaking plumbing, there were several places where the subfloor corners were not pulled down. You could not see it with the wood look flooring but walking on it without shoes you could trip on it. These raise places will cause the flooring to fail prematurely. I called the factory about this and the wrinkled siding and I got no service. Remember they will only come once. So if you buy a Fleetwood home from them, they only come once. If you rent it out, well I hope you know how to fix it because they wonât. Buyer beware! Pictures of repairs are posted at...
Read moreVery Nice houses, but a very unpleasant experience. I was told not to show anyone their list of âpricesâ on homes that was emailed to me. I will not be back, and if you want prices do not even ask for a list because it will not go well. We were considering buying one until we were treated this way. We will be taking our business to Wayne Frier Homes...
