Overpriced and Disappointing Experience at Grease Monkey
I recently visited Grease Monkey, enticed by their first responder discount, for what I thought would be a simple, cost-effective oil change. My experience, however, was anything but straightforward or affordable.
Firstly, I was taken aback when the technician questioned me on how many quarts of oil my vehicle required ā a detail that I believe a trained professional should be well-versed in. After a 20-minute wait, which is reasonable, I was shocked at the price quoted: $100.28 even after the discount was applied, a far cry from the usual cost of an oil change.
Upon doing some research, I found that the oil used for my vehicle costs around $8 per quart. With my vehicle requiring 5 quarts, and the oil filter priced at about $6, the total cost for parts would be roughly $46. Even accounting for labor, the cost of over $100 is exorbitant.
I understand that businesses must make a profit, but this price point seems to take advantage of customers. In comparison, the service I receive at Walmart is not only more affordable but transparent in pricing. Unless Grease Monkey revises their pricing strategy, I will not return and would advise others to seek more reasonable alternatives for their vehicle...

She had very poor customer service skills and has a donāt care Iām better than you attitude. If she spent the same amount of time working as she does sitting on her phone and being rude to customers and employees, this place would be somewhere I wouldnāt mind returning to.
