Raymond's Bowl & Entertainment Center — Local services in Johnsburg

We came here for one of our granddaughter's birthday parties. Been here for a number of these events. Typically everything has been pleasantly well scripted and kept on track by a friendly staff coordinator. Kids bowling and having fun, then off to a private party room. Pizza was on the menu. The PIZZA was average and tasted like a boxed freezer pizza. Chocolate and Vanilla cupcakes were brought in by a family member. We were supposed to have a full-time server/coordinator as part of the package (or option) deal. But we had to go find this person every time and tell them what was next and or needed, and yes please serve the Pizza. The Server/Coordinator option should have been listed as part-time since all they did was bring in the Pizza, Plates, Cups, Plastic Settings, and Napkins, place them on the table, bring a few pitchers of watery pop, and then disappear until most of the families left. Then they asked if we wanted anything else, like some boxes for the pizza and cupcakes, no offer to pack up the extras, and "here's your check". So if you're considering a kid's Bowling Birthday party, Yes it's still a good choice, but have your expectations spelled out in writing first. It's Only Fair to add that many previous experiences were much more pleasant than this...

We had our sons birthday party here yesterday, and it was by far the worst birthday party experience we've ever had. Upon arriving we were informed that we would be sharing a larger party room with another party. We told them that we didn't want that and ended up instead getting a private room that ended up being tiny and couldn't accommodate everyone so half of our guests had to sit outside the room. We had 15 children, plus parents. When the children started arriving at the scheduled start time, our party room still wasn't ready so there was nowhere to put gifts. There was absolutely no direction what so ever so nobody knew if they were supposed to get shoes or wait until our party host told us to do so. I finally just started getting the shoes for the children and had to find our party host to tell her to get the kids started on bowling 20 minutes after our scheduled start time. They did still allow us our full 2 hour party time, however when you have 15 5-6 year olds waiting to do something they don't keep their attention very well. The party host was clearly overwhelmed and management should highly consider scheduling more help for larger parties because she could not handle it...

10 STARS Went here yesterday afternoon and brought our neighbor friend and her three kids. She had a wonderful experience that she decided to register for the family pass this summer. So, if you're looking for a fun time bowling, I would recommend giving this place a try. Caiden who took care of us was attentive. Great hire manager. He definitely deserves a raise.

Steve I think he’s the manager (sorry if I am mistaken) took such good care of us! It looks like they have lights for night bowling but Steve turned it on when we went around 1:30pm.
