I was driving into Providence when I noticed a tail light appeared to be out (fast blink). I went in to get a replacement bulb, the manager recommended I purchase bulb grease. I didn't bother to argue with him about the purchase and I also didn't want to be that customer who kept them their past closing time (I walked in at 850pm). I swapped the bulb in the parking lot and realized it wasn't the bulb. By the time I looked up they had locked the door.
I return the next day with both items opened and proceeded to return them. This is where this return goes down hill. The associate who started off the return was nice and did all he could before asking for assistance. As we waited I asked if he was going to return the bulb grease too. He stated it was opened and couldn't return it. He even asked the same manager who made the recommendation, he too said no, but never came out to explain it. There was who I assume it to be an assistant manager, who came over to help. I asked him if he was going to return the item, he stated no. I then proceeded to tell him "I didn't need it nor asked for it, it was recommended by your manager, the least he can do is take it back". He proceeds to tell me about his return policy, and I cut him off and asked him, why didn't the manager last night explain any of this? If I had known this I would of told him thanks but no thanks. He then continues and I interrupt him again because at this time I'm upset that I was sold an item that can be returned. I tole him I won't be coming back so please continue with the return. He tells me " I don't care if you do". He continues with an attitude and completes the refund and off I go. I then call customer support to get an explanation as to WHY they would recommend items that can be returned and secondly why they think its ok to talk to paying customers in that fashion. I was advised the district manager would be calling me back within 24hrs. Well, this took place Tuesday, its now Saturday. Sorry you have lost my business. I purchase hundreds if not thousands from Advance Auto parts, and when things don't work they return then no problem. Hence why they will continue to get...
   Read moreI went today friday the 16th around 2pm to get new wiper blades for my new Rouge for I had to go over the Newport Bridge and my blade had torn. I went there and they help me find the right size and they help me put it on and it was sleeting/raining out and really bad weather. Of course with my luck my passenger's blade wouldn't come off for either one of us and the associate went in to get his manager and he popped it off in literally 2 seconds. I was so thankful for their help! And they offered help instead assuming I needed help because I am a woman. Super amazing staff.
On a separate note I want to say a special thank you to this store for helping a now late friend who was often difficult to deal with due to his age and his illness at the end. Charlie was a special man who had so much passion for fixing his old truck. They were always so gracious with him despite how difficult he can be due to treatments and with his mind started to go. Thank you for helping an old veteran with the only hobby that kept him going for as long as it did!!

I was welcomed as soon as I entered the store, offered assistance, thanked for shopping by a very pleasant young man at the register. I had shopped at this store before, I purchased replacement headlight bulbs. I had previously replaced the bulb myself but was having a very hard time this time. I re-entered the store to ask a question about positioning the pin holding the bulb in place. Without hesitation, Manager Ryan came right outside with me to see what my difficulty was. I told him I did not want him interrupting his work and he immediately said âit is part of my jobâ How often do we hear that anymore He went to work putting the new bulb in, secured it, plugged it in, put everything back together for me, and would not leave until he was sure my headlight was working!
