I have close family and a very close loved one that works here so perhaps any review I give would hold bias naturally in favor of this chain of store its employees and its location. That being said I really like and am quite fond of it especially the Gray,TN location next to Appalac Cred Uni.Of all the DG locations ive shopped at around East Tennessee the owner most employees management even the people living in the surrounding area here are some of the best people Ive been blessed with the pleasure to meet know and work along side in my near forty years of life.Unless ive misheard or am mistaken the current Gray location should be or is in process of moving and growing as fine establishments like this one should and are prone to do.They have always treated me kindly graciously readily answering questions if I have any while assisting promptly if able and if need should arise.Im glad to have had such a store down the road for the years it has been. From quick necessities to odds and ends they general had me covered across the board.Ive seen the money ive actually saved compared to other places.I like to think over the years a fair share of what Ive saved at places within my community such as this DG has enabled me to give just a bit more to other good surrounding businesses. Not to mention helping with and lessening the sting of any times money was tight.Such help from DG when the budget was stretched I know helped more than just my family make...
Read moreJill was extremely rude and unprofessional... she made me wait in line while she was doing book work that could have been completed later. I asked her for a price on an bag of hair bows that was clearly defective, and she replied sarcastically "what do you want me to count all the bows in the bag?! I then had a bottle of conditioner that had a 2 cents sticker on it. It rang up as $ 2.05. I kindly asked her to adjust the price for me. She snarled back that only managers can adjust prices; I then asked her to remove the item from my order. She couldn't find the keys (which I located). She then threw the bottle in a box with a hateful attitude.
This is by far the WORST SERVICE I have ever received. The store is atrocious, the help is a joke, and these employees should be fired due to their lack of empathy.
Please learn customer service, Jill. You put a bad name on Dollar General Stores. Thank you for making me write this and sending it on to corporate. (I said your "please" and "thank you" for you.) You're welcome. I use to be a supervisor, and if I saw you act, talk, and treat a customer that way, you'd be fired...

I have NOT been Back nor will I unless I know for a FACT that Andrew Lawton is NO longer a DG employee. He was nothing but a scrawny greasy haired PERVERT who followed me around the store making me feel Extremely Uncomfortable! Then at checkout He was a Total Jerk! He was Extremely Rude, Couldn't control his eyes nor his mouth! I'm Disabled & fixed income and I let him know upfront I had digital coupons & "he would help me with them". Ha! He "forgot" to apply them& then Blamed ME for the issue & REFUSED Any&All ways to apply My coupons or delete transactions to make it Right in Any Way! I Have Never Been To A DG or other store that had Me That Upset & Feel So Disgusting That I Had To Take A Shower As Soon as I could when I got home! My Husband was Extremely unpleased as well...OBVIOUSLY! My skin is crawling now just thinking about it. So UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE FOLLOWED AROUND BY A PERVERT WITH ZERO PEOPLE SKILLS STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOLLAR GENERAL LOCATION in...
