Stays You Like — Local services in Joshua Tree

We had the unfortunate stay with an Airbnb hosted by Stays You Like and we did not like.

The Airbnb was dirty, had cockroaches and bugs in many of the rooms including the kitchen and many of the amenities listed were not in working order. We were not informed of the pool (the primary reason we booked) was not working till we arrived at the listing. It was taped closed making it seem like the host should have been aware of the issue long before our arrival.

What followed was a bit of a nightmare. We stayed in contact with Kate at Stays You Like to try and get an adequate refund for two weeks after our stay. Kate was responsive but gave us no definitive answer one way or the other.

Throughout my time communicating with Stays You Like, I felt unheard and dismissed. And the host, whom I was hardly in contact with, was bullying and aggressive when I had to involve Airbnb two weeks after the stay because they were unable to make any definitive response to my request.
