We couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience! I’m a person who goes into everything with super high expectations and am often disappointed. Wow, was that not the case this time. Driving into the set-off neighborhood is like falling into a warm embrace. It’s quiet, it’s cozy, it immediately felt like home even before it was our home. The pillar of our experience, the rock that we could lean on through the entire buying experience was Brandy. “What’s the dimensions for the refrigerator?” I sent her as a text out of nowhere. “Give me a couple of minutes and I’ll tell you,” was her reply. She drove to the house with a tape measurer! Who does that?? And we are now living in our dream house. We are a part of a neighborhood, but we are able to wake up, sit on our back porch and watch mooing cows drink from a pond on the other side of our trees (our forest, we call it). My family and I were looking in Joshua Meadows for quite some time. Being stationed out if state made the task of finding the right home difficult. I initially fell in love with the neighborhood but was turned off buy the HOA not allowing privacy fences. I ended up falling in love with one of the houses and got over the fence. I was thinking after Sandlin sells everything and the homeowners run the HOA this was something that could be chaneged. Sandy the Sandlin sales rep baited and switched us on the price of the house. It was slightly higher than our approval amount and their lender was far more expensive even after builder incentives than my lender. He agreed to drop the price of the house and still give builder incentives. He called my realtor this morning and said he couldn't do what he agreed to. As sales person...don't make offers you can't honor. JM is a beautiful neighborhood. However the prices are well above the average for that area. Don't work with Sandy...he will have no problem lying to your face and making you believe he can so...
