My name is Candace Shauger and I want to share with you my experiences working with the Far From Stock shop in Junction City Ohio. Firstly I own an older (ancient) model 3500 Dodge truck I use to haul my horse trailer with. I am just an average person trying to get by. The truck and I are nothing special.

Two years ago the transmission went out in my truck and I took it to this shop for repairs. I was told they could put a Power Train transmission in for a reasonable fee and it would carry a 1 year full warranty when completed.

The transmission was a problem from the beginning, we had it back to the shop several times, each time I called the shop they pushed their schedule around to accommodate me and they kept me up to speed on what was happening and when I could expect it back. Anything that was under warranty was not charged and I suspect that charges were not applied sometimes when they could have been.

This spring the transmission went out completely. I returned my truck to the Far From Stock shop in Junction City and waited to see what could be done for it as it was well beyond the warranty coverage.

What they could have said was that it was beyond the warranty and that the Power Driven transmission company would not resolve this issue because the warranty had expired. What they could have said was that as it was not a Far From Stock product they would not cover it either and that I was just out of luck. It was really what I was expecting them to say.

What they DID say was that after attempting on several occasions to get the Power Train company to cover the costs of a new transmission along with labor to cover their faulty product that had been problematic from the outset and failed completely after 12,000 miles, was that THEY would have a new product installed from a different company and that Far From Stock would cover ALL associated costs and it would come with a full 2 year warranty. They also let me use the company truck to haul my trailer to a horse show while my truck was in the shop.

I’m 66 years old and I can’t remember the last time I have had a company stand so solidly behind their services and take the ultimate responsibility for another company’s product.

This Far From Stock shop will have a lifetime customer in me, and I recommend them without reservation as being people with integrity. Many companies that provide services will promise you the moon to get your business. But are they prepared to go this kind...

The traction bars are nice and beefy! But i payed for 3 day shipping and there quality control fell short and didnt send all the hardware for install so it has keep me in a bind i was told the rest of the hardware was ganna b here tuesday but now tracking says thursday mabe out of there control idk but the express shipping was for nothing in my opinion (update was shipped 5/5 now 5/13 still no hardware has shown up orderd my own from canada came threw customs to louisanna in 2 days trash support from a company u expressed u needed said part payed extra for fast shipping and they didnt send all the parts then sand bag ya on shipping when it was on there dime i should have keep this a 1 start review. edit yeah dont bother “trying to help” and then get mad when they give a honest review either make it right the first time or except ur company dropped the ball dont act like this review is the reason u cant help some one u didnt help me! at all took over 3 weeks to get all the parts that i payed full price for and 3 days shipping thanks for the no help Help and for the not knowing what size i needed 3/4 is what is shown comes standared in ur kit on The pics on ur web site i also send u videos of said kit with messurments and mabe we coulda got it right had u answerd the phone again after u recived payment and at the end if the day u didnt even send all the hardware of the wrong size the first time then Wen i asked for said 3/4 size bolts u hop on here acting like u dont deserve the 3 start i have the emails of the first time u harrased me over the 1 start so i bumped it up to 3 start and for ppl reading said parts was 2 standard lenght traction bars 4 3/4 missalignment spacers 4 3/4nuts and bolts. You can't ask for a better customer experience. Everyone there was experienced and knowledgeable. Chris was our tech, and he explained everything in detail. He even went the extra mile to make sure our ride stayed looking sharp by using color matching wheel weights and hiding them from plain sight. Our Jeep is now handling better than the day we got it. These guys will treat you with respect and give you any information you need. I was surprised they got me in and out as fast as they did, very glad too cause I had to wait on my vehicle.
