I recently had the pleasure of shopping at the Costco in Kalispell, MT, and I must express my gratitude for the outstanding service provided by Thomas in the electronics department. From the moment I approached Thomas with questions about a new computer, I was struck by his extensive knowledge and thorough understanding of the products. As someone who was initially undecided, I appreciated his patience and the time he took to help me make an informed decision. Thomas never rushed me or made me feel pressured, which allowed me to confidently choose the best computer for my needs.
Thomas's exemplary service did not stop there. He exhibited exceptional customer service skills by listening attentively to my concerns and preferences, demonstrating a genuine respect for my thoughts and opinions. His ability to understand my needs and guide me through the options available was truly impressive. It is rare to encounter someone who combines product expertise with such a personable and patient approach, making my shopping experience not only productive but also enjoyable.
What truly set Thomas apart was his willingness to go above and beyond his designated role. Even though his expertise was in electronics, he did not hesitate to assist me with selecting a mattress, a task outside of his department. His dedication to ensuring that I received comprehensive support was evident, and it highlighted his commitment to providing exceptional service across the board. Thomas’s versatility and willingness to help with any request reinforced my positive impression of his customer service abilities.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Costco for hiring such a valuable employee. Thomas is a shining example of what excellent customer service looks like, and his efforts have undoubtedly enhanced my shopping experience. Employees like Thomas make Costco my preferred destination for shopping, and I am grateful for the assistance he provided. Thank you, Thomas, for your remarkable service and dedication, and thank you, Costco, for fostering an environment where such talented...
Read moreI have been a loyal Costco member and frequent shopper at the Kalispell, MT location for over 25 years. During that time, I’ve come to expect high standards in both product quality and customer experience. However, I have observed a notable decline in the quality of the meat department, particularly since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are several ongoing concerns that I feel need to be addressed: • Pork Products: Bone-in pork often has bone shavings left on the underside — an area not visible to the customer when packaged. It appears that the plastic scrapers intended for removing these fragments are either not being used or not being used effectively. • Beef Tenderloin: Packaging often conceals uneven cuts and tenderloin tails, which misrepresents the quality of the product at the point of sale. • Beef Roasts: My most recent issue involves a beef eye of round roast I purchased. After trimming, I found that approximately 24% of the product’s weight was fat cap. This included visible USDA inspection dye, indicating the roast may not have been trimmed at all. On a $43 roast, I discarded over $10.50 worth of inedible fat. This level of waste is unacceptable and reflects a lack of attention to proper trimming and presentation standards.
As a result of these repeated issues, I have stopped purchasing ribeye and New York strip steaks from this location due to similar concerns with...
Read moreThis Costco has the worst customer service, maybe in all of retail in the valley. Dead eyed associates who won’t talk to you besides to say something rude, I haven’t seen a single employee smile, the years I’ve shopped here, employees pushing pallets into customers to get them out of the way, list goes on and on.
At first I thought it was maybe just how Costco goes, until I traveled and experienced a few different stores. Now I know it’s decidedly not normal.
The other a day I was at the food court, and an elderly man in his 90s walked up to the counter and grabbed a cup, he was clearly struggling mentally, I hesitate to brand him as such but my first instinct was this was someone struggling with dementia. The associate screamed at him and snatched the cup out of his hand, and told him to wait his turn. Meanwhile this poor man was very clearly confused. I told a manager that you shouldn’t be treating an elderly person struggling like that, and she couldn’t care less, literally turned her back on me. (The female front end manager who always has her hair in a ponytail.)
Honestly, if your pay is that bad and the work environment is that hostile, why are you all still there? Why are you taking it out on your customers?
Really hope we get a winco in the future in the valley, so I can shop there instead. Wouldn’t recommend this pathetic shopping...
