I’m choosing slightly above the middle, why? I was greatly impressed by the folks who did the work of replacing our HVAC unit. I was impressed by the communication level of the company. I am NOT impressed with the price and quality of the HVAC unit - Gree Flex - that Air Serve pushed!
So immediately after our NC main HVAC unit needed work, and Air Serve pushed and sold us a very expensive Gree Flex unit, our GA property also needed TWO new HVAC units. The company in GA offered multiple options at far superior pricing than Air Serve. AND THEY WORK FAR BETTER THAN THE GREE FLEX!
I’ve already had Air Serve come back and try to tune this expensive Gree Flex higher SEER unit to put out more air, quicker cooling & heating, etc. It’s pathetically weak! The 2 new GA - Carrier units immediately cool and heat and push far more air than the expensive Gree Flex unit.
I paid the same for dual 2.5 + a 3.0 ton Carrier units as I did for a single 3.0 ton Gree Flex higher SEER unit from Air Serve. Gree Flex is a mistake. I feel Air Serve should not push them, and I regret the decision to purchase them.
Yes, I called them to come back in September and they tried to tweak settings, upping the tonnage to a higher value. At the time, I didn't know exactly what to think. Be satisfied? It seemed that the unit MAYBE flowed a bit better???
Looking back with more data now, it seems it was almost a placebo effect. I knew that the old unit with a cracked pan was pushing out way, way more air than this new Gree Flex. It also rapidly cooled & heated compared with the Gree Flex.
The clincher & proof was getting the 2 new Carrier units in October at my GA house after Aire Serv came back to try to make the Gree Flex work better. The Carrier units (again, 2 of them for the same price as the single Gree Flex) were FAR superior to the Gree Flex right out of the box. The rapid heating & cooling is just like what I had before the Gree Flex unit was installed.
Paying over $10,000 for a single HVAC unit that is worse than the 17 year old unit it replaced is really disappointing and I will never recommend Gree Flex HVAC units to anyone at any time unless, somehow I have a "lemon" and that can be...
Read moreI met Ann at a BNI meeting last year. We exchanged cards but never connected. Fast forward to this year, and I needed my AC repaired. A great friend of mine, Mark J., reconnected me with Ann, whom I contacted at 11:30 PM. Not only did she answer, but she was also extremely friendly. She could have directed me to call the office in the morning, but she didn’t. Instead, she actually talked with me and provided steps to take while I waited to get scheduled.
The next day, I called the office and began to share what I needed. Susan replied, "Is this XXXXXXXX?" I was surprised and replied, "Yes, it is." She explained that she had all my information and the only thing left was to schedule the appointment. (A heating and air company that works around my schedule!) I shared my availability, and to my delight, she stated, "Okay, we will see you today. Would you like a call 15 minutes prior to arrival?"
Not only did I get notified, but I also received a picture, and they were on time. Billy asked me a few questions and went to work. He identified the problem and repaired a few other things unrelated at no additional charge. If you want a company that goes ABOVE and beyond, please give Aire Serv a call. They are friendly, punctual, and exceed expectations. I contacted two companies last night. While both offered to service me, only Aire Serv delivered. I spoke to Aire Serv four times today, and the other company has yet to make contact.
Aire Serv will forever have my business due to the impeccable service...
Read moreGetting a routine inspection on my gas pack unit to prepare for winter, I found out my furnace was not usable due deterioration from age and was a safety concern. I got a quote from several different companies that had great online ratings, including AireServ. The gentleman who came out to provide me a quote was very professional, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, the day of the quote and again several days later. He even provided me information on several rebates that I could possibly utilize. I ended up going with AireServ due to the price point, the type of unit and the warranty offered by the company. Invoicing and payments were easy and I was able to schedule a replacement date within just a few weeks. The day of installation, the workers arrived on time and did a great job with the new unit. It looks so much better than the old one and runs so much quieter. They cleaned up the debris from the installation, did a thorough test run to make sure it was operating correctly and finished way quicker than I expected. I was really really pleased with this company. They were not the cheapest but I felt they really cared about their customers and wanted to provide good products backed by good service and that's what made me choose them.
10/22/2025 Update: I am still a loyal customer of AireServ and have been nothing but pleased! Got my fall system check by Terry and he’s always polite, professional and answers all...
