Two days ago, I requested an appointment through the online booking system. The evening before the appointment (close to 5:00pm) I still had not received confirmation or denial of the appointment, so, I called the salon. Janice told me she was planning to call me and needed to move my appointment. (Again, it's the evening before the appointment.) I let her know that I could not change my appointment as I had to work as well as handle some business at the bank with my husband that morning-- that's why I requested a 7:00 am appointment. Janice went on to tell me that if she confirmed the appointment it would cause her to have downtime at the shop therefore I would have to select another day. I paused and kindly told her thank you. Needless to say, I will no longer use her services. Friday is my birthday. I was looking forward to looking my best by having a fresh cut. I've gone to her for over a year now and have been a good customer i.e. on time, went along with past appointment adjustments, and even long waits. This was a slap in the face.
Obviously her being inconvenienced (by an appointment time that was available on her booking site) was more of a concern than serving a customer. In fact, it was like she felt I should work with her schedule instead of her working with mine.... I'm still trying to wrap my mind around what happened as it was...

This salon is excellent. My first impression when walking into the salon is that it is clean, and nobody is waiting. Janice was actually waiting for me. I was hooked at that moment. Janice, her awesome personality, as well as being super friendly was so welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the knowledge that Janice has of black hair. She explained to me how she would cut it, and why. She explained how to care for my hair properly, what to do, what not to do and the role I play in helping my hair. That was awesome and very nice of her to share her tricks. Do you know about the shower cap? I didn't. She discussed with me what I wanted in great detail. I showed her some pictures and then she gave me the most beautiful haircut and style. Something that is missing in this world of weaves and wigs. Thank you Janice for being a "real"...

I showed a picture of what I wanted and was directed to let Nicey do my hair. I wanted a simple cut with some curls. When she was finished with my hair it didnāt even look remotely close to what I asked for, if she couldnāt do it then she shouldāve said something and we couldāve discussed a different option. She caked my hair with edge control and used a excessive amount of oil sheen, my hair was so greasy!! Iām highly disappointed because this place was highly recommended to me and I left with my hair looking a mess! I didnāt leave till almost 5pm and was shocked that she found it acceptable for me to even leave the shop like that and then had the nerve to ask me am I going to make another appointment! Hell No!
