We were pleasantly surprised by this addition to the zoo! It's located after a long uphill walk, which was a bit rough pushing the double stroller up, but we made it to the wonderful air conditioned museum. The lighting is dim and some spots seem a little creepy, but we assumed that was for the purpose of preserving the animals. Read moreWe had fun at the zoo, the animals were pretty active which always makes it better. What I wasn't expecting was the inside museum part. I had no idea! We were visiting from out of state and wanted to take our granddaughter to the zoo. The inside experience was AMAZING. The had sections of the building set up with different animal habitat dioramas. Complete with life like animals from that area and even animated native people to that area explaining what life was like for them. Really amazed at this, pleasantly surprised....

In the back of the museum, they have two rooms, one for the kids to learn while they play and the other is the history of the zoo.
